Kain Dyke is the third child and youngest son of the Dyke Viscounty household. He had set out on a journey away from his homeland as a squire to a wandering Knight at the age of thirteen. Along his journey, he had met many people, visited many places and fought for many Lords and Monarch as a squire to his master and later as a Knight. After his master's death fighting for the losing side of a civil war, he was on his way back to his homeland when his father's steward came looking for him and brought him grave news. His father and brothers were dead and his younger sister sent as a hostage to an enemy land while bandit controls most of the territory. As the only surviving male heir, he was to succeed his father as the Viscount and Lord of the Dyke territory. Can he overcome the odds around him? and what is the enemy cooking? . . . . . . . . . . . . . The story is set in an alternate world and the settings is similar to the medieval period of Europe. There will be a minor wuxia or cultivation element. Also, humans are the only race. Approach will be realistic but it's fantasy so there may be some unrealistic elements. . .
