I hope you can change arthur's path for me it was one of my favorite, I liked him quite a lot as a character when he was not naive about his father and his addictions.

So the writing is good and very good grammar, but I need to say MC is utterly foolish. He knows he is in one piece and thinks he can have a peaceful life, says he gonna protect his family and village while weak as hell and lazy. Then ofc the "character development" happens and he despairs and asks "Why?".. Like for me this is a no no if you want to do a slow burn you can but atleast make it logical.
