That’s just how some people are, I've met plenty, although these cases are rare. I can’t help with ur disappointment, some stories just aren’t our cup of tea. But I'll mention something, no character stays the same, character dev is a thing.

Team is a far-fetched idea, I'd say more like they have goals crossing each others', so in a sense, they're temporary allies... or in another sense, tools for Boruto I guess.
