Not much to know about me. Newbie writer. You'll probably see a lot of mistakes when reading my works so I hope that you will be a bit patient, though I wouldn't mind constructive criticism.

Finally, someone understood the reference!
when I said tainted, I didn't mean it in a negative way, just that it's not as potent as it'd be without the blessing.
While he does have prior knowledge, it won't really affect his FAI too much as his belief doesn't extend beyond simple acknowledgement.
I don't think your description of faith is wrong, it's just that I found that the game isn't completely clear on what exactly Faith means. Is it the belief in a god, a person, or a fundamental law of the world? From what I've seen, most incantations that are associated with Outer gods all require Faith to use. Then there are dragoncult incantations that also require Faith to use, most probably due to requiring the user to "believe" in the dragons. Take death as an example, there is the existence of the outer god of death, and ghostflame incantations that are associated with it, and then there is the Black Blade incantation, and the doggo's black blade, which also require Faith, yet neither are associated with Outer gods, as Destined Death contained the rune of death, and as such could be referred to as a physical manifestation of an inherent natural law of the lands between. TL;DR: there can be many interpretations of Faith, so i just decided to keep it as simple as possible to deter any confusion.
You know, your comment just made me realize that I overlooked something crucial. While it's true that this Morgott doesn't have much faith in the Erdtree, he does remember the time he spent with Godfrey before he got sent to the Shunning Grounds, so it does make sense that his FAI stat should be higher due to his faith in his father, even if its not the worshipping kind of faith. Anyways, thanks for the suggestion, and I'll fix it in the next chappy.
Oh, you're talking about those shackles. I haven't forgotten about them, and I do plan on implementing them into the story
Can you elaborate?
Can you show me an example of the alternative because I am a bit confused on how exactly that would work.
Yeah, he didn't really seem to struggle with speaking at all, from what I saw in the game, so I just chalked it upto some kind magic he did that allowed him to speak normally
