Alas, dropped at chapter 13. After chapter 5, the writing style became the one I hate the most - chatGPT edited and artificially stretched. I hate this disgusting writing style.
This novel is a complete dumpster fire. The writing style constantly tries to build suspense, but it only ends up being cringeworthy and annoying. The mc dedicated his life to simply thwarting the protagonist of the novel he ended up in. For this purpose, he chose to abandon all the connections that the body he transmigrated into had, even though he merged with it. Maybe he watched the memories like a "movie," there's no exact confirmation, but it's still unpleasant. And also, the short chapters, events, daily life – it's all stretched out artificially; the author was clearly trying to create this stupid intrigue. Plus, the utterly repulsive protagonist who just irritates with his eighth-grader syndrome, which hasn't even fully awakened yet. While writing this review, I forgot most of what I had to write, but I wouldn't recommend you read this. I also have a wish: when author engage in 18+ activities in real life, may the girl create suspense just like you, who stretches things out over 3-4 chapters.
I am truly disappointed. I’m just an ordinary reader, and I’m very disappointed. Most of the tags are not valid and are there just for show. In my opinion, character development is somewhat lacking, and, let’s say, "the world revolves around the main character, and when he interacts with others, it’s as if they come off pause." To me, that’s bad. There’s no real development, the system is practically useless, and the main character doesn’t grow in terms of strength or personality. He talks about killing when it’s convenient for him, which I find hypocritical. Moreover, the character he admired just disappeared as if they never existed, along with Noah’s respect for them. In terms of power, the author simply gave him a 30x mana boost and left it at that. The author turned a novel with potential into something monotonous, dull, and unpolished, far worse than slice-of-life stories due to the "world revolves around the hero" aspect and the author’s forgetfulness.
I'm disappointed. I've read 160 chapters and I'll tell you how freaking disappointed I am. From this useless academy that is just a burden, a system that had bad luck with the master, to how he failed to utilize the abilities to the fullest. He had so many opportunities to become stronger, but the author decided that the main character wouldn't be super strong. A clone that just doesn't make sense. How could a person create something that could adopt the properties of the original when all of his abilities are BLESSED! Eleanor, who the protagonist missed. Heck, he didn't take the opportunity to fight Sun Wukong for fuck's sake. I'm disappointed as hell that I wasted my time on this. The prison arch should have developed him, but what? No forging, NOTHING. The author just decided to forget about it.
This work does not warrant such a glaring mistake. Yes, the author is a novice, and if they had written this novel two years ago, I’m confident they would have made the main character the strongest within 10 chapters, squeezing in moments where he charms every girl with just two words. No offense, but there’s absolutely no plot here, despite the author’s claims about "plot and plot points." The story is riddled with so many plot holes that even Maasdam cheese would look solid in comparison. The characters are shallow, the main character is handed everything on a silver platter, and there’s an overabundance of "deus ex machina" moments. Logic and motivation are nonexistent. A simple example: how on earth did he manage to take the exam while concealing HIS NAME??? Please, don’t waste your time on this and don’t be misled by the ratings.
Author, please, read what you’re writing. How can a Basilisk be in a state of drunkenness? Why, when he upgraded his skill from rank E to rank C, did it revert back to rank E in the next mention? How can a Goblin Boss be at the same rank as a Goblin Scout? And these are just a few examples, not to mention the title. "Apocalypse Baby," seriously? Author, even I, as a non-native English speaker, noticed all of this—imagine what native speakers think!
This is... this is too disgusting. From the narration written by ChatGPT to his thoughts and words, which are so ridiculously childish, I question his maturity. When he sees a rat die in an alley, he feels a pang of guilt. And the funny thing is, he thinks and feels more in one chapter than I do in a day, lol. Almost everything in this world has no logic. From the royal family to his mother to his family.
When I saw who the author of this work was, I was convinced that he could irrigate all of Africa with the water contained in his chapters. For all those 190+ chapters could fit into 70. As it is - the plot as well as the characters are not bad. Except that the appearances aren't mentioned that often, because you forget what the characters look like.
A really crappy novel. It feels like the author is making up the plot on the fly, sometimes forgetting what happened in the previous chapters. MC brags about being witty, but he was cheated out of 2000 gold coins, 1/5 of the total money, in the most trivial way possible. Also Eldric, who simply doesn't know the geography of the city of his own domain. This novel is supposed to be about dragons, but all I see are stupid horns that don't make much sense. The stupidest thing is that he spends 1000 gold coins for dungeon keys that he could have gotten for free after being cheated, which means that he spent more than 10% of his remaining capital unnecessarily. Moments like this make me wonder if he would have been able to accomplish anything in the real world. A silly novel that doesn't even fear the nobility.
