The things the other boys did in there to the vertically unable was most cruel, putting him on a shelf high enough he couldn't jump down without breaking a leg, endless "How's the weather down there?" jokes plus many variants, countless repeats of them throwing him into a hole and singing "diggy diggy hole" while laughing at the top of their lungs and many more devilish acts that i cannot be bothered to recount for him. There's a reason why they're in there, and a reason why they don't come back the same.
