I get your point, but it is weird. The author has written in such a way whereby the audience just expects the guy to pay for an expensive meal, when the guy himself is homeless. Also the fml could have paid for just her own meal.

Also a good critic doesn’t mean ignoring the bad stuff, which here happens to nationalism. It means taking the novel as a whole.

What a stupid comment. There is racism, so it’s in fiction. No one forced the other guy to read and no one forced you to comment. Also despite nationalism, the novel may be good, but most of the time people don’t like reading china is great or some idiotic stuff.
