Google says less than 5% of trees in old growth are 2+ ft in diameter (1% in normal forest). of that some won't be useful for lumber because of their species, not being straight for at least 12 ft (small room), and not having major branches in the section you want to use. beams are pretty picky on what trees they can come from the why if you go to buy them they're way more expensive than a 2x4 that could probably be pieced out of a hollow tree. so having 9/10 trees be excluded because theyre hollow on top of all the other reasons makes quality lumber scarce. plus there doesn't seem to be anyone managing a lot of the mountain forests so people probably chop non hollow trees down before they ever reach 2+ ft in diameter
if you want to go down that route then you're still wrong. small details like that would affect other things. for example houses made out of wood would be extra expensive then if only 1/10 of trees could be turned into usable lumber instead of just being firewood. or even less since a lot of trees can't be used because they're not straight or have low branches that causes knots in the wood.
not a big deal since it's just a story but I think he should have baptized them all first before having them take communion. that way all their sins would be forgiven. the catholic church teaches that you should be in a state of grace when receiving a comunion, or else it's a sin. so they can't have any unforgiven mortal sins. I bet most of them do have some mortal sins. like worshiping false gods or fornication (all sex since even if married, it wasn't by the church so technically doesnt count). though I've never seen a priest turn someone away when receiving comunion and it's more of an honor system. though I could see it as being part of God's mercy that they are allowed to recive the eucharist
this is a good start but colored by setting of the novel and written for entertainment. also unless the author is a Saint with God in his ear I bet some views aren't exactly correct, but overall, it seems good and in line with what the church teaches
tough choice but I think the other option was way more versatile
there was some conversation earlier about dragon blood cake being Hermione's favorite and it had become too expensive at the malfoy's shop recently. I'm guessing malfoy had to make a knock off product because of dragon parts prices and mc is making fun of him for it
there's a lot of people today that don't know whole life insurance is a scam. even with unlimited access to info
had to look it up. that rate is actually higher than the modern average. hope he factors in the more common unsafe working conditions and shorter life expectancies. also if a plauge goes through and wipes out a huge portion of the population
he's changed a decent amount but is letting the main story continue for now. like Harry not being seeker, stealing the stone, and taking the diadem. plus this isn't a system novel so if the mc wants to be op he has to study.
