I've tried to think back on it and for the most part it felt like we were all coworkers being forced to do a job none of us wanted to do but had to. None of us would've interacted with one annother if we weren't forced to he there under pain of imprisonment. so yeah I think it might just be a normal high school thing.

It's been a while since I was in school. But I don't remember anyone caring about their classmates at all, much less caring enough to be annoyed at them at the library. But then again I don't remember talking to much of anyone in school so this might have been a me thing.

accurate depiction of a teenager. They're all too self-absorbed. He doesn't know that the world doesn't revolve around him and that no one is out to get him but for themselves. I was just like this as a kid myself. A good adventure or two should jostle that attitude right out of him.

The only fun thing about that game was hacking into people's phones and shooting them if you find out they're a minority.

I like this decision to start the story after the Chunin exams, so many stories start before it and end up ending at or near the exam.

Don't put an author's note in the middle of a chapter. it's jarring and unseemly. Probably one of the worst mistakes anyone can make when writing, especially at the start of a story.

It's easier to teach a conscripted soldier to throw big rock then it is to teach somone to delicately pull the air out of somones lungs. Therfore yeeting rock is better.

At least the date was easy to find as it was clearly labeled on the top right corner of the local equivalent of a digital newspaper. That's right seemed the 4 dataslates I acquired were just newspapers. Seems I was in M41 941 which did not really help me much considering I never really did take the time to remember the years of specific events. So this gave me no real clue what was going to happen in the near future except for the fact that I would be facing Tyranids at some point and that Cadia would fall with Guilliman reviving.
