Yep, in terms of functionality, tentacled monsters are way better. Tentacles are way better than fingers. Even aesthetically human form isn't the best, it's the best from our perspective, but its not from any other animal's perspective. And in Xianxia, getting a human form is a big milestone for any monster, as if the human form is the apex of flexibility and power. That's one of the things I don't like about Xianxia or any other narrative media that share the same problem.

tbh only bad thing about ur novel, is a lot inner monologues, and little actions. its reasonable especially in the first stages due to the nature of ur ff. he cant interact with anyone, and he can't explore new areas since this is a ff, and everything has already been explored.

the mc is definitely not comparable to urs, urs is better imo. but the writing quality is better than urs, no offence

oh and now that i reread ur comment. yes being good is harder. if u want to be the strongest then u need to find every shortcuts possible. u cant rely on plot armor. u know that in reality those righteous protagonist won't have a journey as smooth as they have in novels. in novels they have plot armor, bc thats what the author want.
