The ability to download any fighting style ever recorded let him learn ridiculously fast, but it didn't provide direct experience with it, so he ended up coming to Wildcat Gym to work out when he was younger. Despite his proficiency, Ted was still better than him in straight boxing due to how long he'd been doing it, but if you incorporated other martial arts, it became much more of a toss-up.

i think his concern is the mc body forever stuck at 16
On the other hand, The Ox talisman offered superstrength and durability. This strength wasn't restricted to striking power, so other things like running, jumping and such other physical activities were enhanced by the body's increased strength and durability.

As It turns out Black Canary was to be my mentor. She was primarily responsible for getting me into shape and teaching me how to fight.

"I know he comes off as a hard ass, but he mostly means well. I have to say though, he spoke highly of you. Not many heroes have the ability to heal and you did save a lot of people.
