Hmm you'd think they'd make cultivation books available of a standard quality and keep the good stuff for themselves. In many these types of 'realistic' pokemon fics the wild pokemon often tend to be bloodthirsty, sometimes to the point it doesn't seem realistic anymore. It'd make sense to at least make sure that trainers reach at least a certain standard of strength to fend them off in case they attack humans.
