Yeah, feeling guilty for taking a baby's body would basically mean you feel guilty of living instead of just dying, and guilty of being born in that world, which the MC certainly is not. I also dislike it.
That was an old comment. I'm experimenting.
I believe it is actually normal and very creepy. It's only that the average readers got too used to seeing 30-year old NEETs constantly reincarnating in fiction and acting as someone's child, considering it normal. But what would you feel if you had a child with your lover, but in fact your baby was secretly a reincarnated creepy man older than you like Rudeus? You'd be seriously creeped out. On the other hand, a mature person in question wouldn't feel perfectly comfortable with a young devoted mother treating him all lovey-dovey as if he's her little baby boy when he's a man who's been through more than her. It's just fantasy tropes people got used to. But anyway, it's just a minor detail. There might be some guilt and awkwardness, but no regret.
It was explained by Hitogami by saying that "Rudeus's fate is strong, so it's troublesome to deal with him". Instead, he targeted Roxy/Laura. It's basically plot armor, saying that Hitogami can't directly kill Rudeus, otherwise what's in the paragraph would have exactly happened.
Because he couldn't directly kill Rudeus, basically. Or the difficulty was too high
Roxy, never Rudeus

In essence, swordsmen can cut down spells, normally. Because of speed and this skill, they're way stronger in 1v1 duels. Affecting a person's body directly with magic (from the inside) is also always impossible. Gravity Magic is an outlier.
It was a long time ago, but that was probably about 'the first time' that Subaru was summoned, which we could assume happened before canon when a version of him met Satella (either the world was reset or whatever). That's because of course Subaru has a purpose of his existence in canon and a specified path that he MUST follow when he goes about things with Return by Death.
To add on top of what's said later, the helmet is now a part of the magic armor. It's no longer a Noble Phantasm, but a skill. If it was still a Noble Phantasm, it would actually be a nerf because after breaking it would stay broken and not be able to be recovered, that's unless it was leveled up all the way to be an EX-rank Indestructible OP Divine Construct... But a skill-related armor can grow stronger with the user and be rebuilt.
