Don’t know whether it is OG book’s explanation or not but from a logical perspective, a mage with fire elemental affinity can learn and cast fire spell quickly and if the same mage wants to try water spell then he needs to learn the spell with difficulty but the power consumption should be the same. Also most likely casting speed should also be the same. Any one agree with this?
