What if he used the tongue, throat, or mouth as the compatible bodypart. He could use it as a medium to create magic infused sound as the guidance for spells instead of using wand movement at the hands or feet. Later on he could say short words like 'boom' for rapid casting or longer sentences like 'art is an explosion' to create stronger effects. He could say 'Lumos' to do a blinding spell and whatnot as he grows more proficient, throwing most wizards off. It would also create an vulnerability to sound canceling effects from injury, spells, or potions. Just throwing it out there. If the author of this novel or another wants to use the idea please let me know so I can check it out.
