An unpolished gem, is how I would describe this 1... Unpolished only because I've only scratched on the surface of the story. But it is most definitely a gem. The characters were already full of personality (I have a fav now too, old-man Alfred xD), the environment feels alive. In the 2 chapters of the novel's prologue, I've already had information about the world in the immediate surroundings of the protagonist/ protagonists/ the protagonist's guardian?. I love how it doesn't revolve around the ideas of immediate tropes. There are novels where I feel as if the whole thing centres around a particular trope, and the focus isn't about how the protagonist reacts or behaves around that notion... anyway THIS IS A BREATH OF FRESH AIR. Away from all the desensitized nonsense that newer novels offer. The few characters introduced so far have more personality and life than most. Ngl maybe even more personality than me... :,( I can't say I'm well versed with the diesel punk theme... but from what I've read I need to look more into it. I love the potential of the story, the world building, THE CHARACTERS, and the gritty, raw, compelling nature of the writing so far. The premise that humanity regressed and salvageable knowledge from the 'old-world' was so limited, mankind has to undergo a re-discovery of sorts is most definitely an interesting one. Anyhow, I NEED MORE OF THIS RN... Please? <3
Cant wait for the next chapter! I read this too fast hehe. But its good and gripping, hooked already!
Nope because I want to too! LONG LIVE BAYERNN!
Hehe, I really like this old man! Will we see more of him later on?
