I don't have much recollection of the old version. This new version, however, does have a better feel to it. The ruthlessness of the MC is balanced and honestly, his actions are what I wished the original Nie Li had done.

The Spirit Hall is way better than any empire and faction shown in DDL1. Unfortunately, Qian Xunji was a crazy piece of shit and fucked everything up.

I've read the MTL of this. The early and mid parts were well-done, but the later parts of the story are complete dogshit. It was so rushed and uncreative.
