Eh, it’s complicated. Physically, she has a kid’s instincts. She has the intelligence of an adult, but, sometimes, she completely forgets to think of consequences because her mind is still technically undeveloped. She also struggles to control impulses and emotional stability. And yeah, she is aware of this, but she isn’t necessarily able to always control it. It is more obvious in later chapters since she seems to swiftly shift back and forth between child like and adult like. This will fade as she’d grows. It’s mostly a realism element here.
