for those confused. we didn't get the full story but cal had somehow manipulated his father into imprisonment for his dear Ole granny. he then killed her. so her son had "killed" her by imprisonment letting cal get to her

why does she tell him this and not all of it. the situation wasn't what he thought either.. his father loved his mother but was manipulated and controlled..

so with this I'm assuming cals father was a basic bish vampire, his mother is a demon/angel hybrid which is why he has wings with feathers that are black. thats also why holy things don't bother him as much as the other things. I would also assume maddies blood also helps a bit since she's an angel as well
