I am currently writing a novel if you are interested it is called Magus reborn before the apochalypse, I am trying to make it original the first part takes place in a world like ours although there is magic in this one but later is a post apo novel

Truly, while his intention is to create an organization whose goal is magical research, he is primarily a mage for whom the progress of magic comes above all else. However, I cannot Spoil too much about what will happen. Nonetheless, not everything will go as he predicts. Even though he relishes the idea of as many humans as possible perishing during this apocalypse, creating a nation where they can survive does not really align with his objectives. What he wants to establish is an association of mages or individuals with magical talents to teach them magic and advance the magical domain of this world. At most, the only humans he might deign to save would be those he has reduced to slavery, and even that is not certain
