This book is showing all signs of being another fantastic story by the Author! The beginning has a great layout, painting a clear picture of the era, characters/leads, and storyline. I’m already hooked on the book! I also very much appreciate the Author’s writing style with excellent flow and grammar.

Wait a minute - I thought Cal got his vampire from his dad and demon from his mom’s side. I guess I was assuming his maternal grandfather was a demon. 🤷🏼‍♀️ With this information , I’m assuming gramps is a very powerful vampire? I guess he could also be a vampire/demon mix. I wonder what his maternal grandmother was?

I think so, too. I’m sure I’m reading too much in to the paragraph where John shows up to ask about Vincent, but him showing up right after Nick & Kim were together, and him knowing there’s a long story regarding Helena & her pregnancy which he never got to hear, I almost wonder if his comment about not liking men who hurt wonen had a little more meaning to it - if he thought Nick was not being faithful to Helena, being a keen observer but not knowing the whole story. 🤔

Regardless of how this ends up with Maddie & Nicola, Cal should be running into the room shortly if he’s anywhere near the castle, as I would think he would certainly be able to smell Maddie’s blood from a distance, given the amount of blood she was losing. I wonder what his initial reaction will be after seeing his girl being in a white-eyed possessed-like state? 🤔

So, anyone else wonder how Calhoun’s wings are feathered where it sounds like his Grandfather has bat wings? There is definitely more than meets the eye with his mother’s roots. 🤔

*sigh* How sweet is that - a nose to nose and the words, “I missed you.” *sigh* 😍
