Oof Daniel better watch out for that one! Daniel hasn’t had much experience as a corporate player yet, so he could really be in trouble here. It doesn’t look good for him, landing a deal that isn’t all that good for the company, but is good for him on a different investment. That’s grounds to lose his seat on the Nebula and DC side. Now most of the board wouldn’t want him gone, as he is the creative mind behind their success so far, but it’s still going to be a black eye on his reputation. Looking forward to seeing how both Daniel and Victor play this!

Ah that makes sense! Though it should have been explained in story, that is something they should have discussed in detail enough for us to know. I shouldn’t have to do any research to know the basic details of what is going on. Enjoying the story!

Do you know what the original of this is? By the title I thought it was Daft Morons, but it seems to be something different, so I can’t say for sure this one is stolen.

Personally I think this would work better as an AU where some of these people still exist, but they work on different projects than originally. That way it isn’t the MC stealing their lives works like a year before they would publish it. Like take Jaws, the novel was published in 74, so he would already be working on it only to find out someone else published the exact same story, with the same characters, just a couple years before hand. It would definitely look suspicious, not to mention it’s a bit of a dick move on the MC’s part. An Alternate Universe would fix all those issues in one swoop.
