theirs like 10 shield generators in the whole galaxy, they're incredibly uncommon in Star wars because ships unless interrupted could continuously fire for years on end. So not only would they be extremely expensive, hard to power, time consuming to get, they're also rare as they're pretty much only useful in situations like this.
