This is a good book if the author polishes out some rough corners. The premise of an apocalypse with mythological elements is very interesting, and the book contains many inspirations to great media and mythology alike. I haven't been past the tenth chapter, but the world also promises quite a bit. In all, give it a read if you don't mind the following, which will hopefully be tackled by the author: - While the author is not a native English speaker(neither am I), it would be unfair to not grade his writing impartially. As such, I'd say the writing needs a fair bit of work in regards to grammar, spelling, formatting and pacing. It is readable, but it could be better. - The main character commits a dislikeable act(though he is portrayed as a benevolent, or at least, decent man) that isn't justified because a part of his character arc is ignored for now. Hopefully the author will do so. Otherwise, the work is better than a lot of books on Webnovel. Unlike many books, one can see effort being put, and if the author keeps at it, then this will be a book worth reading by all!

Not sure currently. Preparing for one love interest, but if it makes sense and doesn't interfere with the story, I'd be open to having more love interests!

It's a good novel for those who enjoy this genre. Decent writing, standard story development and enjoyable progression and character cast. Give the story a read.

This web novel is worth giving a read. While the whole package is standard, it is above average in everything it tries to do, and most importantly: entertaining. The writing is decent, allowing for smooth reading(a few tense shifts though). The story, while going in a predictable manner, is moving forward in such a way that fans of the genre will enjoy it. The character design is also done rather well, though a bit more superficial than it should be for the MC. And finally, the world background: Behind the curtains, I can distinguish a functional world background, but it is hinderd by various info dumps. Introduce the world through slow exposition, I'd recommend. Good work. Give this a read.

I don't think I'm the target demographic for this novel. However, here are my thoughts down below: The novel itself is a fairly standard OP system novel, though it sometimes feels like a fusion of system novel cliches rather than an original work. I think people will enjoy it, however. The writing was rough at the start: Overly long sentences, tense shifting, weird syntax, and sentence formation all contributed to a somewhat difficult reading experience. However, the author is editing the earlier chapters, and I believe they will be made better. In the later parts of the novel, the writing progresses - while still rough on the syntax and formatting, the reading experience is good. No one cares about the updating stability, do they? Now onto the story itself. It's quite a standard power fantasy: enjoyable in small doses throughout the day. The title says it all, and I think many will enjoy it for that. Ughhh, the character design is what breaks it for me. The mc thinks, acts and talks like a child despite being an adult, a trait I dislike. The character progression is also fairly standard; more confidence as he grows stronger. The world background is alright but can be improved through fewer info-dumps and more soft exposition. Good work.

Don't Play With Gods and Devils

What happens when God dies? When the sun disappeared under a thick blanket of storm clouds, crops and countries failed and fell. In a world that declared its demise to its unfortunate inhabitants, despair is the only plant that grows healthy. Unfortunately, looming forces beyond men now inhabit this world and threaten to make the apocalypse as painful as possible. For Abram, the end of the world is the least of his concerns. Growing up under the iron fist of an oppressive feudal lord, raising his head to face the dark sky could result in execution. As such, the boy lived a life of subservience. Until, on a fateful night, hellfire blazed through his lands. Faced with a mystical spirit, Abram purchases incredible power for an unknown price. Though, failing to save his parents, the boy leaves the countryside for the big city, where ashen streets replace failing crops. Thrown into the underground, Abram continues his miserable life until a healer named Issaied adopts him and enrolls him in a magic academy. For Samul, a life beyond court intrigue and royal politics is his greatest wish. Born as the heir to the throne of a failing state, the young boy faces the tribulations and responsibilities of his kingdom with an optimistic smile. Unfortunately, while the court ladies danced and argued over books, Samul seemed to be the only person who could see that the world was ending. Having to choose stability and salvation, God only knew what he would choose. Until the hallucinations started.
