There are FF like that. My problem is more with FF that make it seem like the 'dark side's has no points at all and that the light is correct. If an MC was like 'I know the dark has a point, but meh, don't care's I would be fine with it as well, because they aren't lying to themselves.

why wouldn't you be able to do that? All meaning arises from the mind, and in the end, all that matters is, if you think something has meaning or is important to you. Humans give meaning to things all the time. Money, opinions, emotions, believes - if 'A' means something to you, then it has meaning for you, and if it doesn't, then it doesn't. There is no objective or overarching meaning. Even if we were to invoke higher powers or something, 1: what the higher power assigns meaning to would still be subjective to that higher power's opinion on meaning and 2: you would have to assign meaning to that higher power or something related to it, because otherwise what that higher power says wouldn't matter/mean anything to you.
