I think it's AI generated on top of MTL. I'd be surprised if a single human looked at it before it was posted.
It starts out okay, with the MC appearing to be a kind, low key person. It's a lie. You soon begin to see a pattern, the MC actually doesn't care about the Demons invading his town, or the death and suffering it causes, as long as it doesn't affect him personally. It's established that he the rewards he obtains from his farm are directly related to what he raised, but he goes out of his way to grow demonic and necromantic crops, even spending vast sums of money to obtain the human souls, blood, and bones necessary to grow them. Beyond that, I'm certain this is AI generated content. The lack of consistency is beyond what I've come to expect from unedited MTL (though it is still obviously that). If a pet is introduced by a random cultivator as species A, the other cultivators around thinks it's species B, and the System states it's species C, a non-AI author would thereafter solely refer to it as C. That's not what we get. We get all three, sometimes changing within the paragraph. It's also mostly referred to as A. That's not a translation issue, and it's not confined to one instance. There is no world building. At all. None. The story started out mildly entertaining. I kept reading it after it became paid content, because of the initial amusement, despite the infuriating inconsistencies. I had to drop it, though, once the MC began taking huge risks to grow plants he outright stated were Demon plants that would threaten the lives of others. This is not what the story started as, nor what was promised.
I can only drop this novel. It was not advertised as a villainous MC novel.
Yeah, it's demonic. You said it yourself. Burn it.
Or rather, it should be destroyed.
Doesn't the plant need to be grown from seed to give rewards? None of the sick plants he cured then grew ever gave rewards. Is this worth his time if he gets no light orbs?
Except the seeds can produce many fruit, while once drunk, the tea will disappear. A single seed is worth more than all the leaves.
"A" talisman? One? A permanent, multi-use weapon in exchange for a disposable, single-use item?
How do these things (all spirit plants) survive in the wild? It's almost impossible to seed naturally, they have unnatural growth conditions, and are extremely sensitive to parasites. Not to mention the spirit beasts that would want to eat them. They should have all gone extinct.
