I’ll be honest, the way Nappa died and triggered Vegeta’s FSSJ was both horrific and deeply disrespectful. It would be traumatizing for anyone who witnessed it, even if they didn’t know Nappa personally. I can’t imagine how you plan to handle Krillin’s death to trigger Goku—it’s going to be tough to top that.

This is one of the best Dragon Ball Z fan fiction I’ve ever read. It captures each character’s personality perfectly, blending elements of both DBZ Abridged and DBZ canon. No character feels one-dimensional or wasted—every antagonist is given respect, even if they’re silly. They’re all dangerous in their own right, using their abilities in creative and unexpected ways. It’s rare to find a fic that hits so many positive elements consistently, but this one nails it every time. The self-insert (SI) character's development is also surprisingly well-handled, which is uncommon in most SI stories. Typically, the SI has a plan, and all the characters fall into place as if the protagonist is on Aizen or Gendo's level of manipulation. Here, though, the SI actually feels guilt, and other characters, especially those known for being geniuses or highly intelligent rightfully suspicious of him from the start. It adds a layer of realism and complexity you don’t often see in these stories.
