That's like the cliche staple of MCU fics. I would have been surprised if the author did not do this. I'll agree, tho, that it is just disappointing that the author picked this route. For once, I'd like to see an MC who could go one day without getting into trouble. Surely, it can't be that hard.

Author, if you can't be original even when choosing a name for your Great Sage cheat, then that does not speak well for the expectations the readers should have for your fanfic. Please, don't do this in the future. Just put in the five seconds to figure out a proper, original name.

Honestly, he should be shocked and disgusted at MC's arrogance. It sounds cool, 'I can take care of the border alone!', but the author is disregarding the fact that the border is most likely several dozen kilometers long. Kumo just needs to fracture their forces into smaller units, and sure, the MC will be able to stop one of them, but the rest would just slip through straight into the Land of Fire because he is just one person and CAN NOT hold an entire border by himself. He is not strong enough for that just yet.

No. It's a display of absolute retardation. Instead of using large-scale and large-area ninjutsu to keep the army at bay for the ten minutes he needed to buy, he went and engaged the entire army in a taijutsu spar. But in the real world, the enemy ninjas would not just wait and focus on him. He could hold off a hundred, maybe five hundred of them this way, but the remaining army would just run around him and go straight for Uzu. It's stupid af.
