Best hunter x hunter fiction I’ve ever read. Good characterization, beliavable interactions, creative writing and, believe or not, an MC that doesn’t follow the plot like a dumb***. The only thing holding this novel back from achieving greater ranking is that horrible cover and bad summary (and probably and extra chapter system tied to power stones). Mr. Translator, if you want more support for this fic change that cover for a hot Shizuku FanArt immediately!! Rewriting the summary would also be a good call.

It probably has to do with the humiliation factor. Slaps are louder and something you’d not really use in a real fight

Yeah, that might be a good idea. Hard to implement at the start, but would get progressively easier. Especially if you could decouple Bam from Rachel early on - maybe let her be accidentally killed instead of Bam -, a lot of the annoying drama would go up in smoke. In my opinion, killing Rachel off and giving V + Thorn to the MC, while maintaining Bam alive as a worth-nurturing ally would make the story explode in popularity, based on the carthasis alone. But, I’m still satisfied with the current plot.

How though? Her only utility was gaslighting Bam. Now he is gone, I can’t imagine F.U.G. wouldn’t simply discard her to cover their manupulation attempts from Isaac.
