You get the jist from summaries and other reviews, so instead, I'll say this. The quality is pretty bad. Lots of spelling errors, grammar issues, and random words where there shouldn't be. Needs an editor badly. Story is great. I'm a sucker for these plot points. Lots of interesting developments I haven't seen in other novels. Hasn't really churned deep as of yet. Characters are kinda flat. It's to be expected since this kind of story doesn't/can't focus too heavily on any character other than MC Lots of bonus chaps Real world isn't really explained at all, but you can guess some things from context clues. VR world is explained somewhat well. We don't know too much about how a normal player makes their way through the game, more focused on MC and dungeon master class.
Beautiful art. Great translations. Terrible characters, story, and romance. Honestly, just read the spoiler pages if you wanna know what happens. Heaps of cheating, misunderstandings, treating ppl as objects, giving forgiveness to irredeemable characters, etc. Save yourself the hardship
Review at chapter 150 Story, while somewhat cliche, is still pretty good. OP protagonist for the most part for those that like that. Cool concept with the divine class and the demerits that come with it. He doesn't really encounter any ACTUAL danger so far. Feels very low stakes, even if consequences are stated to be high. Characters are downright terrible. All women are written terribly and there's clear, underlying sexism throughout. "Women are mysterious creatures" BS. Not to mention how completely dysfunctional the MC's family is. I hope the author isn't projecting too much, cause if they are, I hope they're in a better life situation now. I can't really find one well written character. Also trys to talk about trauma through characters, but it isn't really handled well. My only positive aspect of character design is the MC's clear divide between good and evil. Although I don't typically like 'soft' MCs, Cera's kindness in different scenarios makes total sense and is well executed. Good updater. World is nice for the most part. Cool that NPCs have their own version of world notifications. Issues arise in the total inconsistency of leveling as well as money. Both make little to no sense throughout.
Amazing and captivating story up until 800 something. Loved the characters, the development, and the world they were in. The writing and translation quality were also great. There were a few characters that felt abandoned though. I usually hate harems, this one I liked!! The plot line of the game having irl affects is always entertaining. Ending, however, was unsatisfying and felt rushed.
Ooo, sounds fun! Thanks for the recs
I thought it was reverse harem 😭 the cover image is misleading
Big, Big, BIG spoilers!!! Like, I've read the MTL up to the mid 700s kind of spoilers. If anyone has any questions about the untranslated parts, feel free to ask. I just had to write this review to counteract those who didn't even read the story and complained about things that they'd feel dumb about if they knew. So it's basically known now that the VR is not, in fact, VR. Rather, it is the God of Earth, who is implied to be much stronger than the other worlds gods, making some sort of deal with humanity. Combat proficiency an EVEN MAGIC learned "in game" works in the real world, which becomes a big plot point later on. Roland's "in game" talent for magic is just his real talent irl being translated. And if anyone hates the way the characters aren't brutal, then: 1. Who could play was somewhat filtered by the government weeding out the worst. 2. All beings in the other world have an alignment that is subject to change at any time from small actions or even others opinion of you. If players kill bad people, it's fine. If a good person is killed, the player is tagged by the system and can be constantly hunted down by everyone and everything which can not be undone even if they delete their persona and make a new one. They simply can't play anymore.
Best case scenario, watch is NOT affected by time dilation, so original 40 days + 1 frozen day = 41 days Worst case scenario, watch IS affected by time dilation, so original 40 days + (24 frozen hours * 20 days) = 520 days
Is it the author or translator with feeble knowledge of female anatomy?
Most male writers dont understand bras. Should be a 36D according to her three sizes
