I wrote something similar. Had to drop when I found out it was the ex. I also hate these similar stories. Ex is past tense, move on.

I hated all the Fu family. Too bad I have to drop this bc the MC is the ex husband. They treated her like dirt. I would never look back at it and make peace. It should have been someone else and then the ex regrets for the rest of his life. That would have been a better story for the FL. Another book I have to drop. Sigh.

I did the same. The book is quite long with so much fillers. I dont see much of the romance part. i skipped read to ch 870 and decided to read the conclusion.

If I read your post before reading this novel, I would have skipped it altogether. I gave it a scathing note as well.

I was interested in this novel. Translation was not great, but I continued. Sometimes I get confused w the gender as the translation tends to use “he” a lot. Names were misplaced. Seriously, can we come up w different names for characters. Le Wan, Le An, Le Yan. Can we be a bit more creative? I didn’t mind that they labeled the brothers as elder, second, and younger. This was a short, 510 chapters. As I was nearing the end of the novel, I was thinking how the author can wrap it up. To my utter disappointment, the book didn’t have a proper conclusion. Why?????? DON’T READ unless you’re in for a disappointment. So sad. *****SPOILER***** How can parents be so open-minded that they give the daughter’s BF a pack of condoms and say “I don’t want to be grandparents yet.” Really!?!?!?! You go on vacation w your GF’s fam and you rent a room to have a few exciting times just to go home and your whole family gives you a wink wink, I know what you did. Yucks!

It concluded, but was very rushed

Good story and got me hooked. I liked that there were lots of things going on. It kept me on edge. The FL is very smart and is trying very hard to change her outcome. ML is great. He is also very smart and between the two of them, lots of chemistry. FL lead is in limbo bc she doesn’t know if she will stay in the story or go back home so she’s very cautious. Cons: They continuously talk about how young she looks. I think she’s 25 but they keep saying she looks underage. Very slow burn romance. Very rushed at the end. I was thinking only 412 chapters but they didn’t delve into the few cases fr the beginning. Things just all tied together in the last chapter. I think it’s a good read to pass time by.

I only read less than 20 chapters and had to stop and vent. The FL is really annoying. She complains and whines nonstop about how wicked the stepmother is but does nothing for herself. I wanted to see some face slapping, but was utterly disappointed. Is this supposed to be the FL gets her revenge after she finds someone who is strong to back her up? In that case, I can skip.

I am on ch 53 and am already getting annoyed. I know what you mean. I was so angry at how they treated her when she fought w the SIL and he did nothing except saying we will move out. I’m probably dropping this

I read up to ch 45 and there little to no interactions between the leads. Is it worth it? I’m basically skipping most of it.
