21 states in the US categorize adultery as misdemeanor.. Though, there are countries where you can kill a cheating spouse legally though there are certain conditions to be met, like in Rick's case. He accidentally saw his wife cheating and killed the other guy. If he premeditated the whole thing, it would be a different crime. But him, seeing his wife acts on accident and killing them will be seen as an impulse rather than his goal. If he even show remorse and play the victim in the court, he'll be able to win the case against him. Intent is always defined in the proceedings. (i'm a janitor in a courthouse) 😂

Quite the disappointment. If the author written a story in another setting, i think he would be great. But it feels like i'm reading a Chinese drama with English dub. Though I know a lot of readers here would read this (we all know that there are a lot of trash novels here). Cringe interactions and unsuitable tone in characters dialogs. These are thr things that made me stop reading this. It started off really great, and the MC's first interaction was normal. But after a few chapters it went downhill really fast. I don't even mind the huge tike skip but please make it more meaningful. Like growth in perpective or adapting to his circumstance, he still talks like a western man and he lived for a few decades in a cultivation world. Even foreigners living in china change their ways when theyblive in that country. That just goes to show the author isn't well equipped in the cultivation setting as he has never been in that type of culture. Anyways, i wrote this review because i was really disappointed. If the author deletes this, it just proves my point. Please do better author. Or write another story thst isn't cultivation theme, i would very much would like to read it.

I stumbled upon this comment and got me to read this book. And oh boy I was so disappointed.. You seriously need read more books if you find this perfect. Idk about how you judge a "perfect" book, but if you think cringe interactions and unsuitable character dialogs then this book is perfect. Its like a Chinese drama dubbed in English. Characters have Chinese names but sounds so western when thay talk. Its conflicting with the Cultivation world setting. You won't notice it if you're a westerner but if you've read a lot of well made cultivation novels then you'll easily get my point.

He definitely turned into an idiot.. If he took his money, and bought poison with it, he'll be able to increase his cultivation faster.. He's on the clock, he doesn't have the time for exploring. Smh
