nope shes a nepo baby. kurenai got to where she is by knowing the right people and having the hokages son infatuated with her. kurenai’s one of the few characters in naruto who could die and tears wouldn’t be shed. if kishimoto were a better mangaka he’d have had her redeem herself by dying in a some memorable mission instead of fading into obscurity.

this story still has potential author. don’t just give up because of criticism.

tbh its kinda sad sasuke is going to kurenai for genjutsu advice. like i don’t think she actually knows that much. unironically there are better people at genjutsu in konoha over her he could’ve gone too. even sarutobi doctor of ninjutsu probably knows more. i’d argue danzo knows more too.(which should’ve been obvious in hindsight considering what root agents do) actually its kinda crazy how kurenai is beaten at her own core gimmick by people who don’t exclusively use genjutsu. i blame the author thinking with horni instead of logic.

pretty sure kurenai is weak at genjutsu. like not even top 20 genjutsu users. heck jiraiya who isn’t even a genjutsu main beats her at her own gimmick using pop and mom toad combo. dragon sage kabuto has even better genjutsu. there is even a filler character called yakumo kurama whose genjutsu is so powerful it becomes real. i’d say the real master of genjutsu would be a tie between yakumo and shisui on an individual basis. or kaguya/madara if you count infinite tsukuyomi though thats cheating.

sorry i’m just burnt out. was reading some other fics that had bad writing in them. and thought the story was going to do a heel turn.

i kinda get tired when fanfic authors do this. they write a believable fanfic but then try to insert some of their own au or oc takes or copy paste some gimmick that the readers never asked for or wanted. example earlier ago i was reading a fanfiction about a guy in omniscient reader with ichigo’s body/powers and the omnitrix. the story was good for the first few chapters. then the author introduced a system which was questionable. then he turns the mcs personality into a shinji caricature and introduces some “i’m super supet special chad super x something subplot and i erased my memories so this was never a real isekai or something convoluted”. i really enjoy this fanfic but this chapter was a red flag for sure. idk why fanfic authors need to over explain things or shake it up. its alright to do such in your own original stories. but unless its believable and not convoluted then don’t do it. readers really don’t want or ask for this kind of stuff. very very few fanfic authors succeed at this.

actually harems still exist to this day. they infact do work out its just not accessible to the normal person but only privileged. there is a societal reason for harems not existing en masse for the plebs. the life of a rich person and a poor person is unfortunately not equal. life isn’t fair. we know this isn’t about “morals”. as many of the people who go for harems are the same people who espouse and cry about god. in truth people are not created equal. harems simply take too much effort and are financially wise too hard for most people on a mental and spiritual level. you’ll still see plenty rich men having mistresses and concubines on the side. this is infact normal behavior amongst men of means. anyways lets stop talking about “morals” the truth of the matter is the average fan fiction writer doesn’t have the talent to write a harem at all. this is why most commentators hate harems on webnovel. we are too burnt out from bad writers depleting our braincells and tiring us out with female characters who’ve become nothing more then mere objects. in truth most of us don’t hate harems. we just don’t expect the fanfic writers to handle it well.

the problem with antiharem people is that they try to be antiharem in fictional settings that have too many waifus. our issue is bad writing and too many waifus for a writer to reasonably focus on. no one has an issue of 2-4 waifus. people have an issue with 20-200 waifus.

actually scratch that uryu ishida during blood arc after joining yahwachs side probably knows more about quincy knowledge then masaki. let alone any of the sternritters. i’m beginning to think this mc is unstable and suicidal perhaps or masochistic. why exactly would you wana bring back ichigos mom after occupying his sons body. its still gonna be weird.(even if shes not the original or has prior memories) shes not even that strong or knowledgeable of a quincy either. it feels like the mc is being forced into acting like a caricature or joke.

thanks for the feedback. i kinda writ most of my feelings already. i’m kinda disappointed with some of the choices in this story. honestly i can stomache the system. the forms.(strange enough as is since mc has ichigos blood war arc body so why exactly does system store let u directly purchase ichigo at different points of his life?;feel like it’d be better off if mc could just directly practice and gain power instead of being handed it through purchases) the character purchasing part is kinda boring. i’ve seen alot of fanfics attempt it and fail miserably at it creating robotic meat puppets who vaguely resemble the characters they imitate. overall i can stomache that but its weird. i also found mcs reasoning to bring masaki also strange and weird? i’m pretty sure there are much better choices like any of the high level sternritters if he wanted to gain quincy knowledge. masaki outside of her bloodline didn’t actually have that much quincy knowledge. i find the mcs thought processes to be strange and unrealistic for someone who supposedly watched bleach and has knowledge of the setting. thats it but i can stomache most of the weirdness. its just the arthur sub plot and mcs ego death wish that is completely off taste.
