A what?
Yeah probably at the higher realms I’m sure. Definitely not now, but I can picture it happening.
He’ll be godly if he can summon the void of space, the actual antitheses to life itself.
I think seeing the Author’s vision helps inform my own visualization if that makes sense? Like my image of Khan is different than the one you have on the cover art, but things like skin color and exact hair color transfer over. It’s like a nice reference for me to look at to make sure certain features carry over properly. Like an informed imagination, I guess? Haha. Yah, please do at some point. I’d want to see what she looks like in your mind.
Any chance you got a picture of what Monica looks like anywhere Eve? Actually curious how you envision her. Tbh, I forgot the detail that her skin is darker? You should add an image to the characters option or something for the book. It’d be nice.
Yooooooo
It’s a fantasy world and everyone receives cultivation opportunity at 8 years old. Please keep reading or drop it if you can’t suspend your disbelief that this is a fantasy novel.
I apologize for my initial rude tone. It definitely was rude mate. I forget we’re not casual buddies, and I think there’s definitely some entitlement on my end there that feels like I should get angry over feeling like I’m being insulted while reading a story that normally is ridiculously entertaining. I was a d!ck, that’s for sure. Sorry about that.
Understandable. I could word myself more like a professional email if you’d prefer in future comments. And I referenced since the beast arc started he’s been belittling Kane the entire time (second paragraph first sentence). It’s just gotten worse in these last few Mellow Arc Chapters, (my first paragraph comment). If you want constructive criticism that’s less aggressive, I’ll give it to you. I think you’re doing a disservice to the character rid Kane and treating him like a simpleton, but at the same time, your audience, who is being told the story with Rui as the narrator. See, you use Rui as the narrator 90% of the time with no actual narrator most of the time. He is explaining everything to Kane, but at the same time us as the audience. When you belittle Kane, it’s as if you’re belittling the reader. It’s an unintended consequence, I’m sure, but one I don’t think you’ve realized is happening as the author. With my warmest regards,
You’re right. Maybe I have too much of a religious upbringing and seeing Angels being referenced, I feel like Rui should have a way bigger reaction. I wouldn’t say Transcendants are gods though? At least nothing we’ve been shown so far states that martial artists become gods and can create worlds in the future. Sure we might reach there, since I guess reversing death being done by sages is kind of up there in the realm of gods anyways. I just feel like Angels should have a bigger impact on someone from Earth where Angels don’t exist as a “maybe they once roamed the lands” like dragons. Sure dragons are maybe they existed but Angels are more religious and heavenly kind of. Seeing them reduced to some Darwin experiment feels odd with zero comment about them from Rui. That’s all I’m getting at. I recognize my bias though.
I think me sticking around for nearly 2k chapters means I certainly enjoy the additional thought and depth to it that you imbue into the story. However, if that’s all you got from my comment, I highly suggest you reread what I wrote. The way your storytelling these beast arc chapters has developed FEELS as the READER to ME, like you’re just consistently treating Kane like an idiot and over elaborating endlessly with zero action and telling Kane that we can’t do anything until Rui finishes explaining things endlessly. The whole bit with Kane suggesting to tell The Doctor about their plans or involve him was now the second time he’s suggested speaking with the doctor, only to be shut down by Rui and treated like a simpleton for even suggesting the idea. Once again, that’s how it comes across to ME as the READER. A different perspective than yours. I would think this alternate perspective could help you in crafting future chapters so you can see how it comes across rather than just insulting me for thinking I don’t enjoy the complex and depth you add to the story by having Rui be so thoughtful. He can absolutely explain things and be thoughtful without belittling Kane constantly. THAT’S my point.
