Omg, best line I've ever read, lol!
I don't know the raw URL for this but the original title is "Mr. Gu, Don't Get Hooked!" - you can find the MTL version online if you search on Google.

It has been a while since I've read a book that really pulled me in from the get-go. I like that the story didn't start with the MC witnessing the betrayal of her fiance and best friend and then her marrying the ML. The story starts when she's already been married to ML for 3 months. Although both have insecurities about each other in their relationship, they still have a real relationship (none of that marriage of convenience stuff). MC is not someone who needs to fight every single battle but rather she chooses the battles she wants to fight. ML seems to always be busy with work but you can tell he legitimately likes and cares about her. I hope this gets chosen so we can read the rest.
I haven't encountered a book where it takes place in modern times but has elements that we normally see in Wuxia novels (cultivation, spatial realm, etc). So far, the story is really interesting. You have your typical greedy stepmother, white lotus stepsister, spoiled half-brother. And although her father can be clueless sometimes, he dotes on her a lot. Our MC is a cultivator who didn't pass her tribulation and was struck by lightning shattering her soul into many fragments. When she wakes up, she finds herself in the body of a teenager. In her previous life, after the pieces of her soul dispersed, her disciple Xing worked hard to cultivate and spent a thousand years looking for her soul fragments. Xing ends up reincarnating as Yun Ze (our ML), a former best actor.
We already find out a lot of information in these 40 chapters but I saw that this book currently has over 7000 chapters and it's still ongoing. That's kind of crazy. I'll be interested in knowing what all can happen. I absolutely adore the interaction between ML and the child (Xiao Shu). It's very different from most books where the son isn't a fan of his father and is highly protective of his mother. The last 5-6 chapters (of the 40 trial chapters) is where father and son meet and they're both very smitten with each other. Super cute!
This is such a gem! I became interested in this genre after reading the trial for "Five Villain Daddies". I became so obsessed with this book that I ended up reading the MTL version (I'm on Ch 731). Although "Five Villain Daddies" is also good, I find it much blander in comparison. I absolutely adore the MC, Lu Li and all the other characters. I definitely live for the relationship between MC and her father. Her interaction with ML is very innocent (as it should be considering their age).
The chapters are short. I really need to stockpile them before reading. Otherwise I'm enjoying the story.
I absolutely adore their relationship especially the honesty and communication. I'm glad he came out and told her and not let her find out from other people. He's fast becoming my favorite male leads!
Ah, I finally understand now. I didn't get why the emphasis on 19 at first, lol.
