You'll find the answer to your first question in the first arc (the first 55 chapters). By reading up to chapter 95, which is the end of the first volume, you'll get a general idea of how the plot threads are handled in the story. If it hooks you by then, I can assure you that the later arcs only get better. Regarding the harem, I might do an extra chapter later to introduce all the members, but I can tell you that the original duo is definitely included. The romance with Medusa, in my opinion, develops much better than in the original story due to a key twist added. Our MC won't be her slave or anything like that as you fear, and while I can't guarantee that everyone will love Medusa's character (many men - many minds), I think she won't come across as annoying either.
