Hello there, sorry for the confusion but, this whole point of the fight is that he IS an arrogant idiot, as he has used parts of the Fish-man Karate without yelling when he was inventing his swimming skill, additionally he won a skill like Tactical Awareness - (Beginner) and a couple of other skills in chapter 2 that had helped him get out of that fight with success be he sold them in order to save himself from the other 5 million man he fought with, he is just a normal man that is scared witless after his very first tough oponent, all that will be addressed when he wakes up by the hook guy.
