The year is 2020. A billionaire's tech company, Zenith Corp, has revolutionized memory with their revolutionary ZenithChip. This implant allows perfect recall of everything a person has ever seen or felt. Governments around the world endorse it, hailing it as the dawn of a new era of human potential. However, lurking in the shadows is the Vertex Research Institute, a fringe scientific organization. For years, they've been obsessed with cracking ZenithCorp's supposedly impenetrable security. Finally, they succeed. But their intentions are far from noble. Vertex develops a virus called HIVE, designed to infiltrate the ZenithChip and exploit its vast memory storage. They implant it into unsuspecting test subjects. But something goes terribly wrong. HIVE mutates, transforming from a memory parasite into a horrifying zombie virus.
