Why am i an unimportant charcter

My name is Cordelia, well that's the character I possessed. My actual name is Hera Hartley; I was born in Toronto . I lived there for most of my life until I turned 20. I was planning to leave and start a new life in Sejong City, but I was stabbed when I was on my way to the airport. I woke up finding out I was in the book I was reading before I was stabbed, but the thing about the character I possess is that she is not an actual character in the book, and even worse, I have a disease that will kill me in 3 years. WHY COULDN'T I BE REINCARNATED AS A BUTTERFLY? EVEN A FLOWER WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER!!!.
