概要

In a world where love is narrowed down to mere societal expectation and in the quest to fulfill duties, the identity is buried, Whispers Beneath sheds light on Amara and her internal chaos, a woman torn between a life prescribed to her and one that she has recurrently been afraid to accept. Amara is a woman who seems to have followed the right path all along. In a patriarchal world, she finds solace in the love of her husband, Daniel, beneath the hope that such a conventional life would appease the storm raging within her heart. Still, Amara intuitively feels incomplete, it is a reality that she has intentionally evaded. Just as she begins to adjust to the path that she has taken, the surprise reappearance of her figure from the past Farida, reverses the clock and brings back the events that Amara valiantly sought to erase. In the course of reconciling with the past and Farida, Amara relives the agony of self-denial that had occasioned the schism. Stuck between the anguish of upbringing, allegiance to God, and the pressure from the society, she is posed with a choice of continuing to live a deceptive life or incurring the risk of being genuine. Whispers Beneath is a heart-breaking story that evokes emotion through an unforgiving plot which highlights the complexities of self-discovery, forbidden love, and tough choices. In this story, romance is a dual-edged sword, both binding and freeing, and Amara’s decision is such that will change not only her life, but the lives of everyone around her as well. Will Amara manage to break the shackles of the unuttered whispers beneath her heart that chooses to imprison her or does she possess the courage to live her life as she wills?

Chapter 1Buried Desires

Amara stood before the mirror, clutching the lace of her wedding gown with shaking hands. The sounds of women echoed in the room her mother, sisters, friends laughed at each other, teased each other, and fixed their makeup, voices were excited with the excitement that a wedding brought. But as she looked at the reflection of the bride she was becoming, Amara felt more like a stranger in her own life, it was as if she were watching someone else's story unfold.

Her gaze drifted over the flawless makeup, lips kissed by a soft shade of pink, eyes lined with smoky grays. To everyone else, she looked like an enamored woman, departing for a life she'd dreamed of forever. But beneath all that makeup, lace, and jewels, Amara felt more and more empty as if each layer had pushed her true self further away.

She tried to ignore the uneasy feeling. This was her wedding day. A mother had told her that time brought happiness in marriage, that love was a thing growing from commitment, loyalty, and patience. This was the life she had chosen. But pressing a hand to her stomach brought on a wave of nausea relatively unconnected to nerves but wholly related to the queasy impression that she stood on the wrong side of an invisible line.

Behind her, her younger sister, Salma, touched Amara's head gently to adjust the veil. "You look beautiful," Salma whispered in a tone that was almost reverent, as if they were in a fairy tale. Amara smiled briefly and nodded but could not help peeking at her sister's innocent face, which was glowing with admiration and excitement. It was moments like this that made Amara feel guilty for not feeling the joy everyone else expected from her.

Her mother's voice cut through the noise " It is almost time Amara. Are you prepared, my darling?

Amara turned and swallowed hard as her mother came closer with a gentle, proud smile. "Yes," she said, her voice just above a whisper. "I'm ready."

However, the word seemed to echo a sense of betrayal, each syllable carrying within it the doubt of a thousand questions. She smiled again by force this time around glancing at the others who nodded their heads as if to say 'good girl', whispering that she looked radiant, that she was the picture of happiness. None of them knew about the secret she'd buried deep beneath her heart, the part of her that always yearned for something more, someone different.

As the wedding procession began, thoughts drifted in Amara's mind to the summer when she had just turned eighteen and had first realized how different she was. That summer had been an era of transformation, of repressed feelings, and unvoiced realities. There had been a girl, someone whose face Amara had tried to wipe out from her memory but failed.

They met in her first year in university. Farida was her name, and she was unlike anyone Amara had ever known. Farida was confident, and her laughter was exuberant. Amara had been captivated by her confidence, but somehow drawn to her in a way she couldn't explain.

In the years that followed, their friendship had blossomed into something much deeper, as they stayed up late talking about dreams, fears, and everything in between while lying under the stars. And then on one of those university cultural nights, everything changed. Amara had felt something, a warmth that had begun in her chest and spread like wildfire. She had spent the next few years convincing herself that it was a transient experience, a mishap, something out of which she would eventually grow. And for quite some time she had believed that.

But as she walked down the aisle toward her groom, Daniel, that feeling clawed its way back to the surface. She walked slowly and deliberately, keeping her expression calm while her heart raced with panic. Daniel waited at the altar for her, and his face expressed warmth and admiration. He was the man she had chosen, a good, trustworthy person who would love her and be a great husband. Everyone said she was lucky, that she had made the right choice.

As she crossed the altar and took Daniel's hand, she tried to silence the voice in her head telling her she was making a huge mistake. The vows started, and she followed them back instantaneously as if in a trance, her voice was stead but her mind wandered. She echoed each promise, feeling the weight of every word, every commitment she was making. Meanwhile, that voice inside her was becoming louder and more potent, filling her with a mixture of guilt and longing.

The ceremony passed in a blur, and each ritual felt like a step further away from herself. When it came to the first kiss, she turned to Daniel and pressed her lips against his, but no spark arose nor any joy or excitement. It was as if she were watching someone else, detached from her own life.

The reception hall was filled with laughter and music, while Amara's family and friends were congratulating her, they were toasting her happiness. She smiled, laughed, danced about the place as it was expected of her, but her heart was numb. Even dancing with Daniel and his hand being warm in hers, she felt like she was floating above it all, watching her own life from a distance.

On one occasion, she slipped out on her own for a short while. She ended up on the balcony, overlooking the city lights. The cool air in turn brushed against her skin, providing a sharp contrast to the warmth of the reception hall. She closed her eyes and gave herself permission to take the first breath all day.

In that peaceful moment, the silence of the choice she had made filled her with a heavy burden. This life, this man, she had chosen because it was expected of her. She had believed that she would become this role and learn to love Daniel as she should. But now alone here, she realized how big a lie she had lived. She was hiding from herself, and one day, she feared that thing would explode like a bomb, annihilating everything she had built on that foundation.

A gentle voice interrupted her musings. She looked up to see her mother standing in the doorway, her face warm. "Are you okay, Amara?" my mother asked softly.

Amara smiled weakly and nodded. "Yes, Mama, I just needed some fresh air."

Her mother came up slowly to the balcony and put her arm around her daughter's shoulders. "I know it's a very big step," she said barely above a whisper. "But you have made us so proud. You chose a decent man, so you are going to be a great wife."

Amara swallowed, the weight of her mother's words settling over her like a shroud. She nodded again, voice barely audible. "I hope so."

Her mother hugged her briefly, then went back to the party inside, leaving Amara alone again. She stayed there for a little while longer, gazing out into the night, and allowed the reality of her choice to settle in.

She thought of that night with Farida once more, of the warmth it had given her and of the way her heart seemed to be in harmony with the stars above them. That night was just a brief stop-over on the way to something illicit. But it also was the only time in which she felt herself truly alive.

Now she was the wife of someone, she had married him by her own choice but still it felt like a dress that was too big for her. She had taken the decision and now was prepared to face its consequences. But as she came back to the receiving room, her face veiling all her thoughts calmly, she couldn't rid herself of the feeling that there was a something left behind in her, something hidden in the memories she dared not speak of.

At that very moment, Amara learned that she has been lied to all her life, the truth was hidden in the deepest deep of her heart and might never come out. However, even as she acknowledged that truth there was a small rebellious spark, a part of her who could not be tame, part of her who still yearned to be free.

Mated to Four Alphas

Silas has never feared Alphas. Naturally strong and unaffected by their pheromones, he constantly clashes with them. But this unique trait becomes his downfall when, on his 18th birthday, his mate rejects him—choosing his stepbrother, Ciel, instead. Wounded and betrayed, Silas leaves the pack, unaware that his life is about to take a turn he never imagined. In the enemy pack, he crosses paths with four powerful princes—Damon, Theron, Kael, and Lysander. They take him in, but the situation grows even more chaotic when Silas discovers a shocking truth. The four princes, believed to be his twin brother’s mates, are actually his fated mates. "What?" Silas whined. "Silas, behave yourself and let us handle this matter." "Shorty, no one can hurt you." "Silas, I will protect you." After saying this, the three brothers glanced at their fourth sibling. "What? ...Yes, I'll do the same," he muttered. Just when things couldn't get more complicated, a cryptic dream shakes Silas to his core. "He is your child. If you reject him too, he will die!" And soon after, a five-year-old child appears, leaving Silas utterly confused. "You are mine... In this life, I will make you my slave, destroy those bastards, and erase their bloodline." A bitter love tangled in hatred—one that transcends lifetimes. Someone is willing to go to any lengths to claim Silas, no matter the cost. Can Silas rewrite the fate from his past life? Or will history repeat itself? ---------------------- Discord server : https://discord.gg/SUSpfcDr9t

He loves being a helper, and loves when people rely on him. All in all, Andrew really thinks he has everything made. That is, until a research project with shoddy data is thrown back into his face that he has no recollection of working on, and all of his reputation disintegrates in between one heartbeat and the next. Heartbroken, it isn’t until Andrew wakes up, chained to a wall that everything becomes clear. He becomes a test subject to one of the scientists that he trusted. That he expected would never harm him. The life he had known, where he was a respected researcher was ripped out from underneath him. His identity and everything he’s ever known is stolen from him from a crazed researcher who he had trusted, maybe even loved. He has to relearn who he is, what he is, from scratch. Thankfully, he has one person in his corner. He just never expected to have to rely on someone whose shoulders were so small. This is an a/b/o story, and will have those tropes associated with it. I hope you enjoy :)

The Rejected Alpha's Vengeance

[COMPLETE || WARNING: MATURE CONTENT 21+ // Watch Me Burn Them For You] "And if someday you see me, remember to forget my name, or karma will bow." **** For Awuor’s power, her people had done the unthinkable, in the history of werewolves. Her beta and brother, Dom, murdered their mother, the Sicario luna and blamed it on Awuor. In his grief, her father didn't bother to try and find out the truth, instead, for murdering her mother, he gave his daughter the worst punishment any alpha could ever get. He banished her from home, but Awuor’s wasn’t the usual banishment. Her father neither stripped her of the alpha title, nor did he make her a rogue. Instead, Alpha Sicario forced Awuor to be an exiled alpha, a woman so powerful, but with no one to rule over. Her mate, Jer, a power-hungry bastard, stepped up to rule the Sicario pack, since Awuor, the reigning alpha, was away, and Jer never once sought her out. Just like everyone else, he had betrayed her when he claimed a different woman, without rejecting Awuor. As the gates of Sicario closed on her, as her people watched her in disgust and disappointment, the daughter of Sicario had just one thought. A PROMISE of destruction & vengeance; she would ruin them all. *** [EXCERPT] "Either you're from the Dawson pack, the Bluemoon pack, or the Sicario pack, because you're definitely not from our Greyson pack. You must have done something really stupid for your alphas to banish you, even though you have no scent of the ferals. "So that could mean you're not a feral, but you're certainly not that important to your people. You seem to have an attitude and reek of power, that's why you don't appreciate anyone talking to you like a regular wolf. "But all of that doesn't matter right now, because you are the unwanted little wolf. The girl without a home, the rejected wolf who can't be claimed by anyone else. You're dressed in banana leaves because you have no clue how to make proper clothing on your own. "— or even check the feral cloth reservoir on the west of this forest. The fact that you have stayed so close to the other three packs is because you don't want to be away from home and are somehow hoping that they'd want you back. "Allow me to spell it out for you and make it easier for your probably useless brain to understand, little wolf, no one wants you. I'm only taking you to my alpha because your presence here is a nuisance to us, and for some reason, the alpha is interested in you. "And before you get any ideas about mates and whatnot, our alpha is already mated. So will you get up on your own, or do we have to take you stripped? Because I for one have no problem doing that. We could just treat you like the rogue that you're not," Adolf said to Awuor who still had her angry smirk on.

My Mage System (BL)

Hey everybody :) The story is still ongoing. I had a lot of health problems, but now I'm feeling better and I will get back soon to finish this story. I'm currently reediting my chapters, as anyway, I have to reread them before I can finish my story. Those chapters are marked like this *...* Be patient; I should be able to write new chapters by July 2025. Synopsis: He had been the best assassin of all time in his world, and when he was finally killed, a goddess took the opportunity to send his soul into the body of a boy in another world who was weak for now but who was destined to become the most powerful mage of this world. This young boy was called Kevin, and he decided to take his identity as he had kept his memories. The only thing he had in common with him was that they were both orphans, but Kevin had a weak mind and a weak body; in short, everything he hated the most. After successfully entering the Sun Sect as a mage, he managed to open the book Kevin had inherited from his parents and which he had been unable to open. What was his surprise when he realized that this book had turned into a System that allowed him to level up like in the virtual reality games he used to play in his home world. With the help of this System, he will fulfill his wish; he will become the most powerful human of this world. Not even shapeshifters or demons will be able to do anything to him. ………… Kevin turned his head towards him, and seeing that he was still naked, he said, looking away again, "Get dressed first, then we'll talk." Axel found some clothes that looked loose and put them on right away. He also took a pair of daggers whose blades were just a little shorter than his forearms, and he then approached Kevin and hugged him from behind. Kevin let him do whatever he wanted, even though one of his daggers was now very close to his throat. Axel said to him, close to his ear, "I want to trust you, Kevin, so give me a good reason to." Kevin then asked him, "What do you want to know?" Axel sighed; threatening Kevin with his own daggers won't do him any good, and he risked breaking the bond they were just making. He then made a decision and planted the two daggers in the ground in front of them. He ran his hands under Kevin's sweater and circled his waist with them, pressing him more against him. Kevin hadn't expected this turn of events, and he felt his heartbeat quicken. Axel's hands were warm, and he could feel his huge erection against him. One thing was sure: it did not leave him indifferent. ……….. WARNING: This is not a slow-burn romance, and it's an R18 BL novel with lots of spicy scenes, so if you like reading 100 chapters before the MC and ML kiss for the first time, just skip this story; it's definitely not for you. Otherwise, follow the adventures of our two heroes. If you love worlds filled with mysterious creatures, magic, fights, dungeons, a System that allows you to level up quickly, and a unique and powerful love story, then this story is for you. ……………. If you like this story, give a try to my other novels: The Divine Mage System The Celestial Phoenix and His Guardian (BL) Reincarnated to Save the Universe (GL/BL) Enjoy your reading time, and don’t forget to vote, comment, and review :)

His golden eyes caught the flicker of torchlight. His breath misted in the freezing air, curling like smoke between them. “What gave me away?” I responded my voice as low, deep, and steady. Tor laughed a deep rumble that shook the cavern walls. “You reek of desperation. Do you think I didn’t notice your scent clinging to the trees? Are your footprints melting the frost? What is it, vampire? What do you want from me?” My jaw clenched and my gaze didn’t waver. “Your blood,” I taunted as my voice was laced with coldness to see if he could be threatened by my words. “Your kind is... intoxicating. Forbidden. I can’t stop myself.” I expected him to cover but he stepped forward and responded “If it’s my blood you want,” he murmured, his voice low and teasing, “then come closer and take what you need” The words struck me like lightning, and a fiery heat surged through my veins. My beast clawed at my control, drawn to him in a way that defied logic. His gaze held mine, and for the first time in my life, I didn’t know whether to run or to stay. ___________________________________________________________________________________________ In the end, they called me a betrayer. Billionaire Mafia's Manny

The footsteps sounded closer, and closer, and closer, until he faintly heard Siri's voice welcoming someone into the house, but before he could open his eyes to see who it was, he felt a large hand gripping his neck, his legs were locked tightly between much larger ones, and, he felt the cold metal of a gun placed directly on his...gun. Zeno quickly opened his eyes from instincts, ready to fight off his attacker, but the moment he did so, he was met with mesmerizing dark grey orbs, staring dangerously at him. Zeno irritated him in every way, he hated the mere sight of his bodyguard and would have chosen to kill him if not for the sake of his son. Sebastian always tried to push Zeno away by treating him in the lowest way possible. But when the contract was coming to an end, were his feelings still the same? Or did he suddenly realize that it wasn't only his son that needed Zeno? ~~~ "What are you waiting for? Leave!" Sebastian snarled bitterly. He would have to speak with Butler Nicole to find out why he brought back this stupid clown to his house. He had just returned from yet another trip, just to find this nuisance in his house again. He hated Zeno so much; he was classless and looked extremely dangerous to be near his son; who knew if he was sent as a snitch by an enemy? "I'm sorry, boss, but I can't," Zeno said and stood his ground. Leaving would mean he wanted his Nana to die; no, he'd rather stay here and take all punches that came his way; he was used to it. "What?!" Sebastian couldn't believe that such stupid people were still existing in the world. "I can't leave," Zeno repeated.
