She was donned in a simple white dress, her pale skin contrasted with the dirty and grimy stone floor, and her golden hair seemed to emit a faint light. She looked up at the visitors with a glare but inside she was trembling in fear. "Take her outside." Commanded a voice. A voice that shook every cell in her body. She knew that voice but also not. The voice she was familiar with was bright, gentle, and charming. Although this voice still held its charm, its gentleness has been replaced with coldness and disregard. Her mind started going wild with thoughts, thoughts about her impending doom. As the guards grabbed her and chained her hands roughly, the commanding voice from earlier gave another command, "Do not be rough as she is to be presented to the Emperor as a gift." The guards' hold on her noticeably became gentler as she was dragged outside and brought to kneel in front of the person with whom she once shared laughter. "Why..." Was the word she could muster to say. She did not receive an answer and all she could do was stare at the back of the man she once loved as he coldly turned to walk ahead.
