When a tomboy falls in love!

A bright, sultry summer afternoon, lazing around on the bed, she woke up and froze at spot looking at the clock. It was freaking 12 pm, not only did she miss her badminton class but also was extremely late to her part time job. She was fully awake now but the damage done was far from getting repaired, hence she decided to call and apologize. She left her parent's place six months back when she turned 22 and now has gotten accustomed to the far away land of Tokyo, the land filled with infinite amusements.

After apologizing to her boss at part time job, she decided to get out of her bed. As soon as she got out of her bed, there was large thud, someone was banging the door nonstop. She hurried and opened the door in her saggy shorts and tee. Her neighbour and her only girl friend Mayu was weeping. She panicked and asked ," What is it Mayu-chan!?, what happened!?". Mayu said weeping," Deepal, I am out of sugar, lend me some". Deepal was dumbfounded. "Stop being such a drama queen, Mayu.I almost had a heart attack."

" Hehe, Dee-chan's reactions are always so amusing", exclaimed Mayu. Mayu was the kind of girl that loved pranks. She was very jovial and also kind at heart. She had hair that just touched her shoulder and the typical japanese bangs. Mayu was around 5 foot 5 , an average height for girls. Mayu always chose cute clothes.While Mayu could be considered a pretty and adorable, her friend was the polar opposite.

Deepal was an Indian. Her dream was to study robotics, a field that not many girls would choose. Deepal had a bob hair cut. All her life, she played a variety of games. She was better than most of the guys at studies and at the same time she was better than most of the guys at sports too. She was 5 foot 8, quite tall for a girl. She had a tanned skin . All the clothes she chose, were extremely boyish.

After Deepal got over her panic, she went to the kitchen and brought Mayu a cup full of sugar. "Here you go, please restrain from giving me further panic attacks". Mayu giggled," I will try" and left the place. Mayu closed her door and went back to her routine, just when she was about to make herself coffee, there was a loud scream from her neighbour's place. She dashed into her house, she saw Mayu to the ground looking remorsefully at the spilled sugar. " There you go overreacting again, its just spilled sugar", Deepal was about to give Mayu a lecture, right when a tall figure walk passed her and tried to lift Mayu up with a concerned face. He worriedly asked, " What happened, Ma-chan!? "Mayu started giggling saying "its nothing, chill. " Then he noticed another person in the room, and got startled, " dare kono gaikokujin no danshi!?( japanese-who is this foreign guy ) " " How dare he come to a girl's room !? ", he was giving death stares to Deepal. "Oniichan, calm down. That's my friend , Deepal. Also, she is a girl."

The guy felt embarrassed, he approached Deepal saying," I am sorry. Nice to meet you. I am Kento" in a very fluent British English.

Mayu was taken aback. That was the first time, she saw a Japanese speaking that fluent English. She unconsciously replied in English too, " Nice to meet you too. I am Deepal. Sorry for the sudden intrusion."

Mayu sulked, " Oniichan, stop showing off your English. Deepal can speak Japanese fluently." Kento got flustered remembering everything he said in japanese. Switching back to Japanese, " I am really sorry for thinking that you were a guy. Your hair and clothes got me confused. " Deepal replied, " That's ok, this happens pretty often. Everything looks fine , I will be taking my leave now and Mayu behave!"

As she was warning Mayu, she was walking backwards , she tripped over the table and was about to fall back. Kento got up to give her balance but it was unnecessary. With Deepal's amazing athletic skills, she escaped the fall by just pulling her body front. She wasn't expecting Kento to be right in front of her and bam. The next second , she was right on top of Kento."
