Vesteria: Summoner's Tale

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

I blink my eye's a bit as I look up to the... wait for it... UNFAMILIAR CEILING. God, Thank you for allowing this one to say the holy text.

I push myself off the bed, cracking nosie's make themself's apparent, as I fall on my back.

My eyesight is... Bad? My body feel's sore as fuck, and I could do with some whiskey.

I somehow managed to get up, now sitting on what could only be assumed as a bed, as I stare at my wrinkle hand's.

I touch my face, fear striking my mind, only to feel hair grace my touch.

I get up, and holy FUCK, is everything hurting. I wander to what could only be assumed as a bathroom, find a mirror, and now, I want to die.

Whats staring back at me is a man with a white beard and hair, his hand's were wrinkly, yet had some muclse to them.

My mouth decided to do a pro gamer move, and drop to the floor, as I look at myself in the mirrior.

W-Wh-WHAT THE FUCK?!?!

I sip on a brew of coffee, as I stare out onto the forest. Christ, why did I have to be reincarnated as this guy?

It's not even because his old, its because he has single handly pissed off every major party some how. Now, this wouldn't be a huge problem, if it weren't for the fact that this world is SO much different then the good ol' ROUND earth.

First off, this continent is known as Vesteria. A place filled with magic and wonder. Yet, It can also be a nightmare.

Just from Jack's, The Old Man, memories, there is some dangerous crap.

Walking and aggressive mushrooms, giant Crab's, goblin's, yeti's, and fricking giant spider's.

And to combat these monsters, a System was graced upon this world. And I mean an actual system.

Stat's, class's, skills, HP, levels, and a lot of stuff.

And some really good information, is that, to get a class, you need to go talk to one of the three big Guild's, and find out if you are compatible with either of them.

Hunter's, Warroir's, and Mage's.

Now, remember when I said this guy pissed off all the large power's? Ya, it was those guild's, and so, he couldnt get a class, and was forced to be a class-less for all his life.

He actually tried to prove them wrong and went on a complete grinding spree, actually getting to the level 31, before having to stop because the guild's were feed up with him hogging the noob's EXP.

And so, as a level 31, he bought a home, and basically just lived here for his life.

I took another sip of my coffee, and couldn't help but curse this fricking world. Like, come on, couldn't have brought me to when he wasn't 85? What can I do?

Well... I guess, honestly, I just relax. Although it is lonely, It's nice to relax like this. Even if im older than my father.

I look to my stats to see the old guy's future.

Matthew, the new soul that inhabit's the body of Jack, lumbered himself to the bed, at the same time caressing his back slowly.

He sat down on the no-so comfrabtle bed, his eyelid's seemingly closing on their own, as he feel asleep almost instantly.

Yet, he opened his eye's after about 30 minute's with his throat a bit dry. He got up, found a seemingly clean bucketof water, and drank some, before he wabbled back.

Yet as he reached the middle of the room, something took his vision.

Matthew eyed the system flashing, before he shrugged it off. Really, he just thought it was his horrible eyesight or the brain failing a bit and giving him delusion's.

Yet, before he could walk past the blue screen, he felt pain. It felt like his body was splitting itself in half. It started at his heart, before he felt tear's, almost as if something was eating itself out of him.

His body found itself with a surplus of adrianline, as he began to claw as his chest, his leg's wabbling.

Then, his vision went black, and before he could make some clue as to what was going on, another blue screen appeared infront of him.

Matthew lead down on the ground, his vision blurry and red. He shakily got up, before his vision slowly got back to him. He looked around, before he held his mouth and resisted the urge to barf.

What laid infront of him was scattered body's part's and blood. A lot of blood. It looked as if someone had exploded and every part of them covered the room.

Matthew fought againt's the building up barf, as he tried to calm down his beating heart. He trembled slightly, as he shakily got up, and went out the room.

He forced himself out of the house, and directed himself to a near-by river. Diving head first, his body felt cold, as he sunk himself in the water.

His mind cleared up his body, which he found out was naked, was now cleaned of the blood and gut's, as he calmly got out of the river.

He messaged his head, as he tried to understand what in the hell was going on, before he remebered reading that weird ass system 'notice'.

He looked at his system, to which his eye's went wide.

First, he looked at his stats, which were quite spread in a direction to suggest a Mage build with a bit of a beefier body, yet he still couldn't shake his head from the fact that his level was now 1.

How did he become level 1? Why was he level 1? Why were his stat's so beefy for a level 1? And why the hell was his name question-mark's?

He looked toward's the ! on the bottom left corner of his System Interface, before thinking of the possible outcomes, yet stopped himself from thinking too much.

"If I die, at least I die with ignorance..." He quietly mumbled to himself, before he pressed on it, bringing up a new interface.

I looked like a straight line, yet before Matthew could think otherwise, a voice began to speak.

If you are listening to this, it seems that the procedure has gone smoothly. Well, I hope it went smoothly. If it didn't, then I can only hope you don't seek revenge from heaven.

To those that have managed to survive, you are most likely few. To shed one's humanity is the same as stripping one of their life. It means that if you have survived, it means you were never truly 'Human'. At least, not in mind.

Shedding one's humanity means to finally join our 'BrotherHood'. We are what people consider to be the vilest and disgusting creature's that this world has to afore. We are the wolves in sheep's clothing.

Of course, we will never force you to join us. You have the right of freedom, but it is highly recommended to join the brotherhood. The outside world will hunt you down if they learner what you are now.

Now, you must e asking yourself what you are? Well, the Race itself has no real name, but it really is about what we practice. Summoning. We create abomination's from those we have slain, and create creatures of horror and death. We continue to be the cause of death. So, Understand this, do not try and become the hero. Become a ghost. A myth to scare the children. At least then, you may live.

HELLO MY CULTURED MEN!

Here is a light bit of spice to sedate your hunger. I've alway's played with the idea of a System Novel, but I also wanted to branch a bit. So, I took a game that I think is quite fun, and am now creating more lore and depth to it. Hope you enjoy it lol.
