概要

Siyuan Lin was, to put it as frankly as possible, very average. He came from an average family and pretty much marked history for that tiny family line by successfully laying foundation and becoming a cultivator. With that done, he can finally fulfill his life-long dream. To make a name for himself as a very successful blacksmith for other cultivators, a "relic smith." And, maybe as a bonus, produce a "perfect relic," the name given to those that are acknowledged to be the strongest in the land. But cultivation smithery was very complicated. And although Lin wasn't lacking in intelligence, he also wasn't lacking in laziness. He was determined though. Thus, he decided to turn to a more...unconventional method. To turn himself into one! What'll he do from that point? Well, he'll work that out later.

Patient is Waiting

I heard an amazing story of patience the other day. It has stuck with me since, and it’s altered the way I shape my interactions throughout each day. This is a story about a small, random act of kindness that affected two lives in a big way: A New York City taxi driver arriveS at the final stop for his shift. He honked. After waiting a few minutes, he honked again. Because it was his last stop, he considered pulling away. Instead, he put the car in park and walked up to the door. He knocked. He heard an elderly voice, “Just a minute.” He then heard the shuffling of bags moving across the floor. Then the door opened. It was a small woman in her 90’s with a soft smile wearing a print dress and a pillbox hat with a veil pinned on it. As she answered, the taxi driver caught a glimpse inside the house. It looked as if no one had lived there for years. All the furniture was covered in sheets, no clocks on the wall, and no knickknacks on the counters. “Could you carry my bag?“ the lady asked. The cab driver walked her slowly down the steps of the front porch to the cab. Once in the cab, the lady handed the driver an address and asked, “Could you drive through downtown?” “It’s not the shortest way,” The driver answered. “I’m in no hurry. I don’t mind,” she said. “I’m on my way to hospice…” The driver and passenger shared a quick glimpse in the rearview mirror, enough for her to see his concern and continue: “I don’t have any family left. The doctor says I don’t have very long.” The driver quietly reached over and shut off the meter then asked, “What route would you like me to take?” For the next two hours, they drove through the city. She showed the driver where she once worked, the neighborhood where she and her husband first lived, a furniture warehouse that had once been a ballroom when she was a girl. There were a few parts of town she asked the driver to slow down and she would sit, staring into the darkness, saying nothing. After a couple hours, she suddenly said, “I’m tired. Let’s go now.” They drove in silence to the address she had given him. When they arrived, two orderlies came out to the cab as soon as they pulled up. They must have been expecting her. The driver opened the trunk to take out the suitcase. As he shut the trunk, she was already in a wheelchair. “How much do I owe you?” She asked, reaching into her purse. “Nothing,” said the driver. “You have to make a living,” she answered. “There are other passengers,” he responded. Almost without thinking, the driver bent and gave the lady a hug. She held on tightly. “You gave an old woman a little moment of joy,” she said. “Thank you.” The driver gave a final squeeze of the lady’s hand and the two turned to go their separate ways. As he got in the car and glanced over to her, the door was shut. He didn’t pick up any more passengers That night. In fact, he could hardly speak. What if that woman had gotten an angry or impatient driver? What if she got someone who refused to get out and go to her door? Refused to take the time driving around the city? The taxi driver couldn’t shake the feeling that this single moment may be one of the most important moments of his life.

My World is Truth

AN: This story contains mature language and at times extremely graphic content. You have been warned. After a war between angels and demons, humans are nearly extinct due to a targeted attack from the demons. A thousand years later, humans are still on the verge of complete extinction and use their abnormal abilities as "Dismantlers" to help every other creature from dangers that were left behind from the war as well as new dangers. Come the MC, Morden, a 24 year old pure human trained to be a Dismantler from a young age. Despite his lack of talent, his hard work and preparation make him an exceptional hunter. When Morden leaves his village on a hunt, he discovers an incredible power hidden inside of a grand memorial. The power gained, however, is confusing, random, and at times eats away at his sanity. Great strength means distinction, but is it worth the cost of losing his mind? "Can I find a way to revive my people? Should I focus on becoming the best Dismantler in all of history? Maybe become the ruler of a kingdom?" These questions haunt Morden as he learns more about the true nature of his power as well as the hidden truths of his world that only he can find. - AN: I grew tired of reading stories where characters have crazy anime tropes. One guy is so stingy even though he's a millionaire, another doesn't think he's evil but he's just kills people without hesitation making him edgy, etc. I wanted a story where characters were believable and set in a world that was original. The main character acts in ways that a normal person does and the people around him as well. Cringe is something I try to avoid as much as possible and I try to write in a way that won't make you scratch your head and wonder why I used the same word 3 times in one paragraph. I am no published writer and I make mistakes mainly from auto corrections or mistyped. Please have mercy on my poor soul. This world that I created is as original as I could design it to be. The creatures and being found in this world are many that we know and have seen many times before but with my own twist to many of them. Most creatures live in harmony (with exceptions) despite our typical knowledge. No elf vs dwarves rivalry, very few naturally evil races or characters who are trying to ruin the world for the sake of it. I try to have as little relation to our world to give off the feel of immersion, keeping only what is necessary for our understanding (our day length, month, year, the sun, etc.). Keeping with this theme, I try to make original sounding names and places that don't have a strong correlation with what we all know. Thank you all for reading and supporting me!
