Land of Rea:

A vast land of mass with boundless land, water and sea. A place where kingdoms and empires rose and fell, known as Land of Rea.

The mainland is divided by kingdoms and empires. Where, a sub-continent can easily have a stretch of up to 1,000,000 square km (1 million) and a mainland is a stretch of 1,000,000,000 square km (1 billion).

The mainland is divided by many races across the mainland, from orcs, elves, dwarfs, dragons, pixies, humans, gnomes, wild-man, goblins, kobolds, centaurs, seaman, giants, undead, ghouls, and many more. They keep on waging war on each other because of limited fertile lands while keeping mystic beasts at bay.

Among humans, the most reputable profession is being knight. Knights are not only retainers, but also anyone who cultivates origin energy. Only the strong are respected here. Only those who can manipulate origin energy are allowed to be called nobles who can lead humans in this desperate world. If you are powerful enough, even those of different race will come to you for protection, but if you falter they won't mind dividing a part of you.

This is a land of pure and foul, magic and creativity, war and bloodshed, where numerous prodigies rise and fall and where mystic beasts walk the land.

This land is nothing but a chess board of kings ,lords ,warlords and rulers, while common people work hard just to eat their fill.

If someone sees Land of Rea from the top, they will see a huge landmass with its south to unassailable mountains, the mainland, with many continents and sub-continents and also many archipelago scattered around them, with endless sea surrounding it all.

But no one knows why this place was called the Land of Rea, but from time immemorial it was called upon as such. Humans nature is forgetful and in flow of 'river of time' they have forgotten the name as some old nightmare, while deluding themselves as someone of significance.

It is said that humans first settled on the mainland a few millennia ago. All those that lost in the power struggle of the mainland moved out with their subjects to settle in nearby continent, sub-continent, and archipelagos. But with time it has been consign to oblivion that some houses never went to mainland to vie for supremacy, though they were forgotten.

But these houses themselves never forgot there history. These houses, after many generations throughout the millennia, formed autarkies in their respective regions. These houses were powerful enough to contend with houses from mainland, but have made there mark here, while also having deep roots in these regions.

The old families that could remain existing till today, from millenniums ago, became exalted. Even new rulers were not able to compare with these exalted houses.

With time, many empires rose and fell in the mainland, and the houses retreating from mainland instead of carving a place for themselves in the wild, started to attack areas under the already existing houses . As it took too much time and resources to open up new territories while you might even need to face wrath of lord or higher rank mystic beasts, while you can just remove already preceding families with power to take over their base industry and subjects.

With time this changed into full blown-out war between Existing houses out of mainland and retreating houses. It became so attractive that some houses that were not doing so well on mainland just started to attack the existing families far from mainland. But when the Exalted houses took action against these invaders, they were either thoroughly removed or successfully pushed back.

Slowly over the millennia, all the old differences were forgotten while new ones were made. While the population of these sub-continents and archipelagos grew so much that new duchies, kingdoms just kept popping up. Until the current scenario of co-existing came up, while also keeping an eye on any retreating houses from the mainland.

The current scenario happened because most of the land has not even been opened, nor claimed back from wild.

Wild has been very dangerous, while carving out wild to open up land has been much more dangerous as any big disturbance could easily lead to origin waves or disturb some mighty mystic beasts. Origin waves refer to waves of origin energy, which helps monster unlock their intelligence by absorbing origin energy. These origin waves also leads to mystical beast tidal wave, where wild animals and mystical beast turn frenzied due to access of origin energy in their bodies.

Even today, almost all the continents and sub-continents, have most of the people living near coast while up-to 80% of land never even tried to be reclaimed. With only mainland being the case that has been more than 50% reclaimed, even though most of it has not been opened up. Even then it is only less than 60% reclaimed, because even the greatest powerhouses of human side have fatality rate above 80% in the remaining area in the mainland. Only some archipelagos have been 100% reclaimed from wild. Even then not even 20% archipelagos have truly been reclaimed.

But we can not forget that we humans are not alone, we are just one of the many among who occupy this world, where our population may be just over 4% of total population of living creatures in the land of rea.
