His life had started long ago, but it was only now that he was actually aware. Azaliah, a being made from the source of Evil and Good, blessed with both sides but determined the fate of the world with just one. The boy with the absolute power sets out into the world of the Seven Deadly Sins, eager to live a life he missed
If you were trapped for years, hundreds, thousands of painful years inside a seal that was casted upon you by your very family, how would one stay sane? The never ending darkness, the lack of touch, scent... I couldn't even hear my own heartbeat.
But somehow, I stayed sane.
Something deep within me, kept me from feeling lost, kept me from the hatred I so desperately wanted to feel. I wanted to direct it at someone, something. But yet, as my seal broke, so did those feelings.
The shell that kept me from the life I always wanted to experience had finally released me from its hell, and laid before my very eyes was the path to a beautiful green, blue skied world. Littered with clouds so white and fluffy they looked unreal.
The skin above my eyes lifted, widening them in what I could only describe as awe, the cracked and skewed view through my blood red hair was more than enough to replace the centuries worth of bad intentions that weld up inside my very chest.
It's amazing how fast something can change...
"T-This... I'm free." I muttered, my hands lifting to move the strands of hair in front of my face. However, they soon went to my chest as a cold, piercing breeze assaulted my abdomen. Looking down I saw that I was in nothing but a black cloak wrapped around my shoulders, leaving my chest and belly exposed.
My pants were similar. Black in color, a little baggy around the ankles and knees but it was by all means comfortable.
Looking out from the mouth of the cave I resided, I saw that there was a forest below. Endless trees sprouted from the earthen ground, its beautiful deep green leaves swaying in the passive wind as if greeting any and all travelers who wish to visit.
Taking a deep, shallow breath. I take my first step out into this world of unknown. The world that was once taken from me is now finally at my finger tips.
...
The mountain range in which I resided was full of natural growth. Growth that was destroyed when I last saw it. Most of Britannia used to be a barren wasteland meant to serve only as a means to fight a war. The animals, wild life all of it suffered in our long battle.
And in the end, the Earth recovered, reforming back into its mystical and wondrous state. I found myself lost in wonder eyeing the great plains before me.
It turns out the "mountain" was more so a giant hill, overlooking a small town which shared some spare trees scattered alongside their crops.
'Heading over there wouldn't be so bad. I need some clothes anyway.' I thought, inspecting myself once more. Heading down would take a while... The seal that held me captive for so long sapped me of my magical abilities. It would take a minute before it all comes back.
Lest I decide to eat the souls belonging to those of magically enhanced beings.
Shaking my head to rid myself of these thoughts, I continued down the giant, long spanning hill all the while enjoying my time in the wilderness.
It didn't take as long as I thought it would for me to reach the town before me. Though, once there, I realized just how small this place truly was. There were at least a dozen houses and each house housing a small family of three, maybe two or one. From what I could tell, this place seemed to thrive solely off of the crops they produced.
Basic human ways of life.
Taking a small stroll, I ignored the piercing gazes of men, women and children alike. I took in the different potential stores and Inns. Some stalls too.
"Haha! I remember that! Didn't Derrick get lost in that cave? Only to come back screaming about some crystal and riches? You should've seen his expression!" I made it to the middle of the town, the "square" if you will.
There were benches and small tables that hoisted umbrellas for those who wished to sit and conversate with alcohol and bond with one another.
At one such tables was a group of men, one was fat and hairy, another was skinny and frail, looking as a single touch would send him on over to the afterlife.
Overhearing their conversation, I grew interested. This was obviously about my seal. I was surprised to even know that someone found it. I figured humans were more controlled by their fears rather than their curiosity.
Though, back then, even Humans could serve to be a potential threat even if they were considered the weakest of the Races.
"Aw! Cut it out! I know what I saw! I'm not crazy!" I took a seat at a nearby bench, smaller in size most likely meant for those who wished for a quick break. There wasn't an umbrella here to block the sun, which meant I was currently bathing in it.
Hearing the one I assumed to be Derrick, cry out in a defensive manner, I listened in a little more intently. If humans found my seal surely others have too.
Maybe even the fairies.
Derrick was a skinny, lanky man. He had short cropped auburn hair with brown eyes that radiated a timid aura. His confidence matched his stature. Weak and almost none existent.
"Darrel, come on... We all saw it. Just cause it was a little roughed up doesn't mean it can't be taken in for a good amount of wealth. It looks more like a once in a life time find than anything." The one who spoke was the only healthy looking male there.
With a physique that complimented his strong, confident and rather above average looks.
Darrel shushed his buddies while looking around hastily. Until his eyes landed on me.
"...You idiots! There's a man right there! Samuel, you know we haven't collected that stone yet because the Kingdom of Liones is interested in it. If we so much as put a hand on it our lives are basically forfeit! The Holy Knights are more merciless than before and it doesn't seem like they're planning to ease up any time soon."
My eyebrow raised.
Holy Knights?
