Chapter 15

Grace's Point Of View,

"Not again Anna. Dare if you say something again about this", I said and pushed her inside the bathroom so that she could wash her face.

I just packed my bag and put my assignment in it carefully. I was glad that I finished it. Now I have nothing to do important.

I need to see the lectures I missed when I was in the hospital, but I am not in the mood to see them at this time. I can watch them later, or maybe tomorrow in the library.

"Are you coming with me", I heard, and then I looked up.

"What", I said and Anna glared at me.

"I am asking you that are you coming with me downstairs", asked Anna and I nodded my head.

"Yeah, I am coming", I said and I just smiled a little. I sometimes get too lost in my thoughts. I put my bag on my table and got up from the bed.

Anna passed me a smile and we both walked out of the room and made our way toward the kitchen.

"Oh, glad to see you both like this", my mom said, and we both smiled.

"Now you should get a habit of this", I said and my mom smiled and handed a glass of juice to Anna, and she took it.

"Drink it, do not think too much, okay", mom said and Anna nodded her head quietly.

"Mom, the sun is about to set and dad will come anytime soon", I said to mom with a worried face and my mom just gave me an assuring smile.

"Do not worry baby. I told you that I will handle it, and I am so sure that your dad will be mad with happiness", mom said and I smiled, and nodded my head. Anna did not say a single word as she was drinking her juice peacefully. I am thankful for this.

"Okay now you guys go and do something, or also you can go out for a walk too. I am gonna make dinner", said mom,

"Let me help you with dinner", I said and my mom just looked at me.

"Do you know how to cook", my mom asked me and I nodded my head. I know she would be shocked to know.

"But you never told me this before", she said as she was looking at me, and I just forced a smile at her.

"I do not know why I did not tell you, maybe because you never ask me", I said and just scratch my neck, and my mom just smiled.

"It is okay honey you do not need to take stress, but I will manage. You can go out with Anna", she said and I shook my head.

"No, mom, I also want to help", said Anna, and we both looked at her with wide eyes.

"What", I said and she just smiled.

"Do you know how to cook baby", mom asked her and she also nodded her head.

"What, but you are just fourteen years old. How did you learn that ", mom asked her as she was so shocked to hear that, and I was also shocked to hear that?

"Yeah, I learned it a long ago. I mean in the orphanage I need to make food for myself and sometimes for others too. So now I know very well how to cook", she said and my heart again clenched in pain after hearing her words.

She is so small for all these things, but the cruel world was not treating her right, but now I will not let anybody hurt her. She is my sister and my responsibility.
