I grew up being less than average my whole life. I was not the pretty, popular girl at school. I did not have any talents or many friends. In other words, I am a NOBODY. Because of this, I devoted my life to books. I spent my weekends working at a local bookstore. For the most part, it was boring. However, when we received a batch of old donated items, something seemed... off. I suddenly fainted when I opened one of the donated books. What's going on? Setting

The story takes place in Giodivonia Empire (also known as the Land of Emeralds.)

The Characters

Xavier Acen De Giodivonia the l (Emperor of Godivonia AKA Emerald empire.)

Description: 196cm (6'5) slim, athletic built. Milk-skin complexion. Royal bloodline emerald-colored eyes and jet-black hair.

Xavier De Giodivonia the I is your typical drop dead gorgeous tyrant emperor who gains satisfaction from seeing others suffer. He hunts down countries to increase his empire's land. He is emotionally dead and is seen as a sadistic psychopath by many. He is also known to be untouchable and excels in everything he does or touches. By the age of 8, he was titled as the 'genius of the century'(strongest and most skilled swordsmanship in the empire, excels in politics and economics/geography, solves impossible mathematical equations when stressed, skilled in herbal traditional medicine.)While he is known to be the world's genius, and with excellent military skill;- he also has many bad habits. He often mourns for the death of his first love; Jennavicia who was also the empress before her tragic death. He only confides in two people, his cousin - Hansol, and his half brother, Ezra.

Amara Luz De Giodivonia - (Princess and daughter of Xavier.) 166cm (5'5) slim, fragile built- milky-skin complexion. Royal bloodline emerald-colored eyes and jet-black hair. Originally born as Melanie Burch from Nevada in the 21st century. Her fascination for books twisted her fate as she woke up as Amara De Giodivonia, princess; and daughter of the handsome but psychotic emperor. The name Amara came from her mother, Jennavicia. It means 'immortal' in Greek. This name meant a lot to Jennavicia as her love for Greek mythology and had a dream that the Giodivonian gods chose that name for the princess. She starts her new life as a newborn. While she collates her past life, she struggles with her current life as the hated princess by her father, the emperor of Giodivonia. It's a dog-eat-dog world, she has to make ends meet and impress her new father if she wants her life to get any better.

Axel Wollfergen Konig II(Crowned prince of the Southern Sapphire empire/Identical twin of Tristen)190cm (6'3) slim, athletic built. Pale/milky complexion. Royal bloodline Sapphire/sky blue eye color and blonde, golden hair. Excels in all studies and swordsmanship. Often gets compared to his twin brother, but due to his 'differences', he is seen as the best.

Tristen Lucius Konig I (Identical twin brother of Axel/Second prince of the southern Sapphire empire) 191cm (6'3) slim, athletic built. Pale/Milky complexion. Heterochromia (Royal bloodline Sapphire/sky blue eye color (right) and hazel-honey eye color (left) black hair. Tristen is seen as the black sheep of the family due to his heterochromia and black hair (royal hair color of the northern empire). Considering he is an identical twin of Axel, who appears to be the perfect royal prince with all of the royal appearance requirements, they see Tristen as a child who was cursed by a witch. He is often in the shadows of Axel and is kept away from making an appearance due to his different 'looks'.

Hansol Detorte - (the emperor's cousin/chancellor) 187cm (6'1) athletic built, fair skin. Hazel/green eye color and brown hair. 1st Cousin, and best friend of Xavier.

Ezra Nol De Giodivonia I (the emperor's half younger brother/ third prince/Grand commander of the Emerald knights) - 191 cm (6'3) Yellow/Emerald eye color and dark brown hair.

Jennavecia De Giodivonia *deceased*- light brown hair and Cordongelle's royal honey yellow eye color. Jennavecia was the former empress and first wife of Xavier De Giodivonia. She was the princess of Cordongelle before she was wedded to Xavier shortly after his coronation. Jennavecia was known for her beauty and elegant personality. She gained her title 'Aphrodite' due to her unreal beauty, admiration from many, and passion for greek mythology. It was love at first sight as they were each other's fated pair. Shortly after, Jennavecia was pregnant and gave birth to Amara. Jennavecia had a very long, and painful birth that left her bedridden after giving birth. She knew the worst was to come, so when Xavier went to visit her, she told him to grant her one wish before her passing, was to raise her well.

Aldous De Giodivonia ¬*deceased* Royal bloodline emerald-colored eyes and jet-black hair. Previous emperor and the father of Xavier, Estevan, and Ezra (illegitimate child). Killed by the first crowned prince, Estevan. Aldous favored the second prince, Xavier, and cherished him deeply. He would compare Xavier to Estevan constantly. After making the executive decision to strip the crown prince of his title, Estevan became outraged and ordered a special request to have the emperor killed by poisoned wine.

Estevan De Giodivonia *deceased* Royal bloodline emerald-colored eyes and jet-black hair. First crown prince. He killed his father, the previous emperor when he was 19 years of age. Xavier was 17 at the time. Estevan's relationship with his father, Aldous, and his younger brother, Xavier was rocky. Estevan's main goal was to succeed the throne and exile Xavier and those who did not want to follow. Estevan was a hateful, and envious person since birth. Ever since Xavier was born, he was always compared to his younger sibling as Estevan lacked in all of his studies and had a phobia of swords. When Xavier reached an appropriate age, It was evident that the emperor favored Xavier for his determination and achievements. Since Estevan was the first heir, it was expected that he would become the successor after Aldous passed away. However, Xavier suited the title better. Thus, Estevan was stripped down from his title as crown prince. This made Estevan infuriated. Enough to poison his father, the emperor before passing the law.

Giodivonia Gods - The 'Giodivonia Gods' are 3 gods and goddesses that created the blessed land of Giodivonia. The goddess of nature, the god of war, and the god of wisdom. Legend has it that a young boy was born extremely ill while a group of immigrants crossed many lands. One night, a heavy storm flooded their current spot which resulted in many deaths. However, the young boy survived. He ventured on his own, learning to fend for himself, trusting nature, and believing in his instincts. One night, he had a dream that he must follow the sun during the day, the moon during dusk, and the stars at night to find his destination and to not stop until he has found it. The boy was determined to follow his dream advice. It took him 25 years until he could not walk anymore from exhaustion. However, he finally found the land of Emeralds. Here, the 3 gods presented themselves and granted him one 'death' wish. His wish? To name the land Giodivonia, after his mother. The gods explained to him that death wishes are to never be broken and to be taken to heart and followed till death. The gods granted him fortune, wisdom, and power. He then became king and shortly after the emperor of Giodivonia as he expanded his land. These gods take care of this land in exchange for worship. One must obey all the Giodivonian 3 laws or it will curse the land and the people.

All royal family members have one 'death' wish. This must not be broken. If broken, the Giodivonian Gods will demonstrate their wrath by destroying the whole empire.

'Eye for an eye' is always taken in place in terms of politics. Giodivonian people must follow this law and be taken seriously.

Everyone shall be treated equally. No man or woman shall be seen less due to their gender, status, education, or occupation. This is a royal rule as well as for the Giodivonian people. This means, if a princess were to be born, they can be the next successor and equal rights just as a prince.
