The Land Of Illusions
"When the skies split, the purple lights blinds,
The silent bells ring, the tracks ever so populous.
Before long, its very existence held by a thread,
The thread feeble like our minds."
-Katherine(Our Lone World)
The skies did split; there Casious stood in awe as the divine flames engulfed the town. It was the end of the world; prophecies were true or so, he thought. Everything became normal, as if the split never happened. The town feels hollow; the bells chime no more; the light casts no shadow; the wind has died long ago.
The rail tracks appeared out of nowhere; it exists yet unseen by all but him. The train comes every evening, the only sound he can hear. The townfolk feel empty.
There on top of the tower she stands, there she jumps , there she falls, only to jump again the next day.
The land can't be trusted no more; the eyes lie regardless; the sound, the touch, the people; nothing is same anymore.
