Chapter 49. Rules of attraction

The next morning Seb confirmed that the storm had passed overhead and together with Jace, the Scouts mapped a new route to their destination. 

It would take one more day to reach the city before the convoy would be able to begin their mission to find the source of terror that had wiped out the team of experienced soldiers.

But the scouted route would not be an easy journey by any means.

Many ancient roads were blocked or destroyed, some of which would cause no issues for the Tank, but the other vehicle used by the Scouts unit would be unable to navigate the terrain.

"We'll have to pass through here." Seb pointed towards a small winding road close to the coastal line. 

"Is it safe?" Captain Hunter enquired. 

"It's…accessible for the vehicles, so would be the fastest route for us to take. I suppose that makes it safe by comparison." Seb replied with a sheepish grin.
